Have you tried XFce? In my experience, it uses much less RAM than GNOME and is much faster, but has the advantage of still being based on GTK2 for integration with GNOME/GTK applications.
Not to my knowledge. Stress is one thing that affects it, for instance; the more stress the mother is under during pregnancy, the high the chance of the child being homosexual. I don't think that would be a direct connsequence of genetics.
Homosexuality isn't, as far as research can tell, genetic. It seems to be caused by conditions within the mother's womb, which causes the brain to develop in a slightly different way.
You'll note that that article also mentions that it did well in Japan; it understates it a bit. The system was pretty well neck and neck with the PlayStation in Japan until Sega killed it prematurely for the Dreamcast. It failed in North America and Europe partly because Sega of America/Europe have always been incompetent marketers, and partly because of a lack of quality games making it to those markets. A large number of the system's best games stayed in Japan.
That's a very good point. I initially put Firefox on my Mac, to use the same browse I use under Windows and Linux, but stopped using it instead of Safari when I found it slower and less reliable on Mac than on other platforms.
He was happy with the magnifier, but the OS itself has problems with accessibility in several places. (The colour scheme, for one - the OS itself doesn't let you change the look of the OS beyond the colour of a few widgets, and its light colours are extremely hard for someone with little sight to be able to see at all.) He's reporting the problems he finds to Apple, so hopefully it will be fixed up; but in general, OS X isn't yet accessible like Windows is (with 3rd party software).
And you evidently missed the point. With this ruling, Apple can now sue EphPod and GtkPod or any other *Pod out of existence.
Why? They're beneficial to Apple, since they don't make money from the iTunes software (which they give away for free) but from the sale of iPod hardware. I'm certain that Apple's happy with GTKPod, because of which I own an iPod to use with Linux.
According to a visually-impaired friend of mine who is testing the new OS X accessibility tools, they're not up to par with the solutions available for Windows a the moment.
DOSBox runs many DOS games very well, in my experience, and it's both free and has a nice Mac port. You can give the Windows port a try, first, if you want to see if the games you want to play run properly, or look it up in their reasonably exhaustive compatility list.
I remember finding that on Sierra's lines in about 1996 or so... I can't recall how well it worked, although since they just had you speak numbers instead of dialing them it wasn't very sophisticated.
They pay royalties to ROMS, the Russian organization that handles licensing for radio, television, internet audio and so forth, and ROMS pays royalties in turn to the artists. In Russia, it's perfectly legal, and seems to be in other countries; it is a bit grey whether this is covered under export laws proper or not, but generally it's legal to import something if it has a legal license in the country of origin, to my knowledge.
Yes, the AmigaOne has been shipping for... a year and a half now? Something like that. It's controlled by dipswitches on the CPU module; they don't use OpenFirmware. Apple uses the same types of CPU modules, MegArray, so presumeably overclocking would work the same in one of their computers.
Adium is nice enough, but the spell-checking drove me up the wall. I prefer to do my own manual spell-checking, and as far as I can tell there's no way to turn it off.
Pan & scan isn't done automatically, furthermore... it's done with someone deciding what part to cut out. DVDs that are panned-and-scanned are that way on the disc, not automagically by the DVD player.
He's referring to Enlightenment, I think, while I imagine you're talking about emacs. e can be short for both, which is very confusing and not very helpful.;3

Unless I'm mistaken, that was one of China's conditions for buying - and then they decided not to use Microsoft's software.
iTunes allows non-iTunes purchased items to be played, as well. It plays MP3 and unprotected AAC, as well as a few other formats.

Actually, coyotes are a real danger to domestic cats in some areas; it's far from unknown for that to happen.

I know that G4s can be overclocked; I've heard of several AmigaOne users running their 7455 G4s at 1GHz.

Possibly true. I'm not a lawyer; I'm not certain. I have read that it's perfectly legal for Canadians, as myself, to use it, however.
Yes. AllofMP3 and MP3Search.ru pay royalties to ROMS, which in turn pays royalties out to the artists.
Yes, and that's rather different from what Sky Captain is doing - saying that Tron is clearly basically the same thing isn't really true.
According to the textbook for my cinema class, far less than that; it had CG in only 15 minutes out of its total 96-minute running time.
First make certain to do it through the filter of Osamu Tezuka's Jungle Emperor.

Painful, if you get in the way.
