This is pretty blatantly defective by design. I can see a lot of people (especially less sophisticated users) being caught out by this when they discover that they can't run outlook, internet explorer, media player -and- messenger all at the same time. Or will Windows apps that are 'part of the os' going to be excluded from those three programs? I think MS's gun is pointed firmly at its downward.
Damn straight. I don't care for either flavour of christianity, but it's wrong to say that mainstream protestantism rejects evolution. It's simply not true.
That's because I don't live in China. I'm sure if I had more experience with Chinese, I would have an opinion about them. I don't recall calling Americans worst or stupid, though... hang on, let me check my post... nope, didn't say that.
Actually Bionic Commando wasn't crap - it was a tour-de force of its day. If anything, because so few kids today got to play it, it's a perfect opportunity to bring that fun to new gamers. BC: Rearmed was exactly that, leveraged well.
I was an original BC player and Rearmed rocked my world, even after having played through it again on Rocknes merely a month beforehand. If you didn't enjoy BC the original maybe it's not for you, but give it a chance and perhaps you'll find something that rocks your world too?
Games are like dames. Some are cheap and you get what you pay for; some look pretty but it's just cosmetics; and some are classy and only get better with age and experience.
That summarises my experience with many people in the US. They are convinced that their country, their way of doing things, their existence is the ultimate mode of being. Having come here from Australia, I can tell you that there is plenty of room for improvement; it seems that they believe they have/are the best of everything simply because they've never looked (let alone lived) outside of their own backyard.
Both, of course. Why can't we be an eco system that is also a self-contained individual? Arguably, we could say the same thing about Earth itself (guess who's cancer?)
Some of us want games that are moving, gripping and challenging - not just a random shootfest. If you didn't feel bad about burning your companion cube, this sort of game isn't for you.
I want to see a game where when you shoot the 'bad' guys, one of the others screams out "Billy! Oh god, noo!" I want to see games where the enemies are people and not just targets, and where civilians cry over the fallen.
One of the most powerful scenes I recall seeing on TV involved two brothers ambushed by mobsters in a field. They beat one brother to death in front of the other, and the actor did a fantastic job bringing to life the grief and horror the character felt - he didn't care that he was about to die too, only that his brother had been slain and he was helpless to prevent it.
Maybe if players get to see the effect on civilians and combatants, we will have a little less rah-rah-kill-them-all. It will certainly give the game world more depth.
Achievements strike me as yet another penis-measuring tool, rather than as something that brings more value to the site. If people never read past story #6 is it because they check the site often enough to not need to go that far back, or is it because they only care about breaking headlines (or perhaps we all just have ADH- ooh, shiny!)
I think we would all benefit much more from a streamlined site, rather than the feature creep we're seeing at the moment. Slashdot isn't much broken, so don't much fix it.
Strangely enough, there was a time when this looked like it was happening. Back in 2000, Korea (north and south) marched under the same flag as tensions eased. Kim was portrayed as 'cuddly' in the SK media as there was some expectation that people would come to the table and conciliation might occur. Of course, it didn't pan out that way and before you knew it, Kim was once again painted as a nutso nutjob nutter. It's all about perception and how it 'plays' to portray them.
This is one of those complicated chicken and egg type things that aerodynamics throws at you. Is the deflection of air caused by the pressure difference, or is the pressure difference caused by the deflection of air?
Also, it is wrong to say that the majority of lift comes from the deflection of air downwards - if you plot the pressure gradient around an airfoil (Mark Drela's X-Foil is a great tool for this), you will find that the majority of lift is developed by the top surface of the wing.
I could mix things up with vortex theory by claiming that lift is derived from the circulation of fluid around the wing... but frankly, I've never found that description helpful.

It's quality control, plain and simple. Universities have a big incentive to ensure that their graduates live up to expectations.
I am interested in your idea and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Thats... actually a fairly reasonable answer, thank you. I would give you mod points if I could.

But why only Wii? It's not an either-or proposition.

You have a point - I moved here recently and now I'm not just cranky, but I'm -paranoid- and cranky.
Both, of course. Why can't we be an eco system that is also a self-contained individual? Arguably, we could say the same thing about Earth itself (guess who's cancer?)
Then, evidently, this sort of game isn't for you.
Yes, I think that was the one. It was so well acted that I felt sick afterwards.

Actually, I would like to see an FPS set during those time periods. I think it would be fresh and interesting. Certainly beats Yet Another WWII Game.

Ah, the Kangarolla - with 100 joeys to the roo. And keeping chance is easy, since each 'rolla has a pouch that can hold a joey or two.
As a Canberran I can tell you that's BS. Our pornography industry is what keeps the politicians coming here.
Imagine skinjobs grinding to a halt and falling over as their CPUs max out whenever they get an email...
Sounds like something my stoner friend does on the weekend.

Why not send this man's family some love too - he, and people like him, have diligently helped stem the tide of crap that floods the internet.
He's earned a wreath marked "Our brother departed, loved and dear, told the world 'The ad stop here'."

And, in the case of impossible states, that yet will hold for the life of the universe.
