Odd that I switched to a new AT&T "Unlimited Plan" which gives me 22GB of data before throttling me down to the stone age and now Ericcson is predicting 22GB will be what everyone needs in a few years. Not 20GB, not 25GB. What's so special about the 22GB amount?

Sony has only released this movie via streaming and a few theaters so far. Where are they planning on getting these DVD's and USB copies? Are we talking pirated copies? If so then could Sony and North Korea at some point be on the same side in protesting this scheme? Copyright law makes for some strange bedfellows.
While using Skype one day I stumbled upon the fact that my nearly 6 year old Panasonic Mini-DV camcorder (PV-GS120) will function as a webcam when it's connected via Firewire. It provides picture quality at or better than an expensive USB webcam, functions well in low light, and has zoom and infrared auto-focus. Turning the built-in LCD around towards the front provides a "view my video" function freeing up my monitor to just display the other party.
True, it's not "HD" quality but it serves a new purpose using an outdated camcorder I just had sitting around.
This law was put in place to weed out and convict terrorist groups.
Ironic isn't it... that the wording could be used to against the GOP and the Tea Party Movement. Cause they could easily be described as "...a subversive organization" consisting of "...person who advocates, teaches, advises or practices the duty, necessity or propriety of controlling, conducting, seizing or overthrowing the government of the United States".
The wording can equally be applied to Osama Bin Laden and Al Jazzera as it could to Rush Limbaugh and Fox News cause neither group like Obama or what he stands for. They both want him out of office; i.e.- To overthrow the current government of the USA.
... and not to forget that if a lightning strike hits your system in your house it can travel to the "data-garage" or vice-versa via the wired LAN connection. Even if you setup a wireless connection between the two, you're still powering both the system in the house and the garage from the same power main that can zap both setups with a power surge.
"I visited your factory this morning after you'd left. I tried to play pilot. I tried to taste the life of a simple man. It didn't work out, so I took a souvenir... Gwyneth Paltrow's pretty head."
You're forgetting the American Football mentality. We here in the good ol USA have 2 main political parties for a reason... us vs. them. It's all a game. People pick their "team" and stick by them even if they drop the ball by invading a country without reason. And of course with any sporting event you demand to watch it live. The final scores must be determined before the fans go to bed for the night.
We're really not so different than the Romans being distracted by the Gladiators, are we? I can't wait to see if the lion eats him... err, I mean... to see who the next American Idol will be!
I noticed after I clicked on the link "free Wi-Fi internet access available" my Norton AV said it quarantined the Trojan Virus Trojan.Mitglieder.I located in my IE Temp folder.
So clicked back twice to get my default webpage, I cleared my cached internet files, clicked on my Slashdot fav link, and then on the link in the story again. Immediately again, Norton pops up and says it quarantined that Trojan.

So this is "something new" when the YouTube video shows it was uploaded 6 years ago? I don't seem to recall James Bond driving used vehicles.
No problem as long as the in-car display shows me 30 static pictures per second.
Hum, Fox News gets pretty "creative" with their "news". That counts, right?

Agree. Kaku and Tyson (the astrophysicist not the ear-chomping ex-boxer) are my picks.

...my paper shredder has a Hemi.
That's nothing. Since there's no MPG mentioned, my 16 year old Prelude covers all the requirements listed above. Do I win?
And in related news... the newest fad to be sweeping the UK is ventriloquism.

I'm surprised this one passed thru Slashdot's editorial staff.
