As I said here and as others have commented about. I guess now that SCO is mostly off the radar, we have a new 3 letter company to make fun of and hate.
So we'll be able to see the holographic "chess" match as it was intended...finally....of course too many releases of Star Wars are prone to make original fans want to pull Lucas' arms from his sockets.
One of many EDS problems. I can't recall a recent headline where EDS successfully delivered on an enterprise scale project that was on time, on budget, and actually worked...
It does have a 30 second skip...there is a remote control hack or two if you google around for it--although some people claim that comcast has disabled it on some boxes....it works on mine.
I have a standalone tivo with tivo2go software and it is pretty neat. I really like the tivo interface, season passes....all works well. As I moved and dropped directv, I added comcast cable since they are also my ISP. I got a promotion for htdv and their new Motorola 6412 DVR. That box does record HD and supports dual recording via single coax cable connection. But the user interface and other tivo like features are not near as nice, plus the box seems to freeze up every so often (even when not recording). The thing that makes me appreciate my tivo is that I haven't seen tivo prevent me from recording or fast forwarding through a show. There are reports that comcast is doing just that, although I have not experienced it for myself.
Why not create special drivers that allow you to use the unused vid ram as a ramdisk? If a game requires more than 256MB, then default the temp area back to file storage, but if you are only using 128-256MB for video, then let me do something useful with the remainder.
Plus the cable companies have figured out a way to sell/rent you additional receivers in order to watch a different channel in a different room (much like satellite) with digital transmission. Once they go pure digital, you'll no longer be able to run 5+ TVs off an analog cable signal with just a splitter.
Could be both. One part of the website may run using ASP (my.t-mobile.com) and other part looks to be using servlets (support.t-mobile.com) at least somewhere for some function(s). In fact the my.t-mobile.com source indicates that it was coding language is C#.
They were in the mix in the late 90's but the lack of proper opengl support killed them as a "gamer's manufacturer". I still have a G200 running in one of my servers. Maybe they finally got out their opengl ICD, but by that time I was on the nvidia bandwagon and waffle between them and Ati depending on my mood.
Lawyer Man, Lawyer Man Get's the biggest settlement that he can Sues a company, any size Get's cash and a a new ride Look out, here comes the Lawyer Man
The CRT is using its incredible weight to smash the LCD....but wait....LCD goes mega bright and washes out the CRT display with glare....boy we have a good one here tonight Nick.
While looking ofr daycare for my kids, I came across a few that offered web based cam viewing of the kids/classrooms. My wife thought it was a great idea til I suggested that anyone could potentially view the kids....sex offenders, children theft services, etc. Sure the school offered password based access, but any system that is turned on can be compromised. Maybe it's the paranoid dad in me, but while it may be nice to see what my kids and teachers are doing, it scares me that some pediphile may be watching what kids are doing, learning their favorite activites, and their overall daily schedule. The ped could even be a parent that has a kid registered at the school making access even easier. So in the end, I axed schools that has cams (especially wireless ones) and convinced my wife based on the reasons above.
Perhaps some places have policies where the camera is on only for certain periods of time that vary weekly and IT departments that verify access logs, but I saw no such plans when I checked.
True, I did mean preparation...nevertheless, you have American tax information in the hands of foreigners and what if the information is raided or stolen (not that it can't be stolen in the US as well)? It was just one more reason for me to file the old fashion way (although I've heard but have not confirmed that paper returns are turned into edocs anyway so I suppose they could be processed anywhere as well). I just found the story to be more ironic than threatening and wondered what Americans thought about non-Americans doing their tax preparation. If they knew, would they use a different company or would most not care? I don't know the answer, but I bet if you gave the people a discount for outsourced preparation, they would do it.
wooden case and firewire can't be a good thing

For that much, I'd want a song and dance.
Windows Cluster Fuck Edition?
There, it's been said.

What does? The page or the dart gun?
a potato gun with a message carved into the potato or a carrier pigeon and a canon just seem so much more obvious.
