    Kazaa is lot faster and can find you anhy song you like. For example some old Swedish Eurovision song contest winners. Try finding Herreys' from emule, it takes about a minute. If you want a full album emule is your tool.

    Too bad most of the doorlocks here in Finland are made by Abloy. AFAIK, you need some kind of special tool pick those. One type of Abloy lock has 11 discs and there are close to two billion different combinations.

    Our radiolinks (which are like wi-fi) were sending line-of-sight transmissions, 9600 baud, with about 3 milliwatts. I cannot remember the frequencies we used but they were in the microwave range so I'm not sure it's comparable with the radiomodems mentioned in the article using 900 MHz band. Cool stuff anyway!

    I've been using AMD chips since K6 and haven't been disappointed yet. The criteria I've used when buying a new cpu has always been the price. The next one I'm going to buy will be the Sempron for Socket A, 64 bit cpus can wait a year or two.

    At the moment my PC has a faulty DIMM (random crashes). It passes memtest but it is still faulty and the new one hasn't arrived yet. After installing SP2 my system has become much more stable and noticeably faster. And I don't use Windows' firewall for security as I've used Outpost Firewall for a year now.

    I am not the only one who is either thinking about or has already switched to Nvidia just because of the drivers.

    I have been waiting for a year for proper drivers for Linux but as they still have not materialized the next card will be Nvidia, no question about that.

    I think that parts of the ui would be the perfect place for Open Source: Explorer, shell32, user32 etc. There are a lot of people who like all the bells and whistles on their desktop and there are people like me who take away all of the eye-candy and would like to see even more optimized Windows GUI. I think that Explorer is very usable at the moment but the size just seems to be increasing with every new version of Windows.

    I hate people who say that the reason for the amount of virii for Windows is caused because of it's popularity. 64-bit Linux has been available for a long time now and are there any virii targetting it? I didn't think so.
    Every slashdotter knows the real reason for Windows virii (hint: Outlook etc.)

    I am not native English speaker so I might have mixed up the linguistic distinction between "kiddie" porn and "child" porn.

    Anyhow, my *morals* do not make any kind of distinction when comparing 16-year old and 8-year old child. They are *children*, regardless of Traci Lords faking her ID.

    To me, girls under 16 are children, regardless of any of law, and that is the way it should be.

    Kiddie porn means that the pictures are of girls/boys less than 8 years old. No goddamn civilized society accepts that. If you think that kiddie porn means pictures of 16 year old cheerleaders you are dead wrong. Know your facts before you write.
