I fear that maybe google is over extending itself. Google News is fine because it doesn't require external research, but the book service and now this... it seems like they'll have so much to maintain externally.
It is most unfortunate that there are so many bad products out there which cause people to actually leave the internet. Just the idea of that makes me wince. *sigh* Ever since I gave up windows and started to think before I gave out my email, I've had no problems. I do, however, think that "easy-to-use" linux distros such as Lindows (oh excuse me, Linspire) will lead to just as much hassle.
Damn - Linus is like the super hero of the computer world. He's replaced our president as someone I look up to. The guy is really on top of what's right to make the best program. I'd love to spend a day with Linus just hanging out.
SpyNet?! Sounds more like SkyNet. The "intelligent" Microsoft product will soon learn to detect spyware on it's own using AI, eventually leading towards Microsoft Product Self Awareness.
Java is slow and getting dated. C# is a more mature language and runs faster. Yes, Microsoft did do something right this time... Projects like DotGNU and Mono are being developed for linux machines and other unix variants. Plus, the JVM Gui really really sucks. Tell me now... how many java apps have u seen that have shitty GUIs? Too many to count. So, i think people should start using C# and perhaps DotGNU and Mono should start writing GTK/QT/X versions of the System.WIndows.Forms class, so it doesnt have to use wine. That said, I really dislike microsoft (as most others on slashdot do). Peace.
I wonder if cowpimp will make a new version of mytunes with crazney's new libs. If not, he should at least share his source. Check it out: CowPimp.com.
Hmm, I don't like that approch. I think it's useless. Show them the therom and prove it to them using quantative skills. Goshl -- stupid teachers everywhere that think they don't need to teach their kids everything they know. TEACH EM EVERYTHING -- don't leave out the little facts and belittle them. Jeeze.
Yah, that is a good point. I've been a google fan ever since I stoped using Yahoo mail (quite some time ago). I don't think that A9 will catch on. Hell - the term "google" has come to mean so much more than a search tool.
I can see amazon integrating this into their already awful shopping service -- "you searched for goats, would you like to buy..." Although google uses this information, there is no annoying representation of it.
What is the best linux alternative of Konfabulator? SuperKaramba is skimpy in my opinion. Are there any konfabulators for linux?

I've created a prefetch sampler of the concept, check it out. http://zx2c4.com/documents/prefetch/
It will never work out between Tux and my kitten... the penguin is MUCH too cool for her. ;-)

I would much prefer to mug someone for a box of pizza than a computer. It's pizza! Mmmm... *snorts and takes sip of jolt cola*
What the hell is good ol' Arnold thinking? I guess he's getting board, and has to go mess something up... just like in terminator.

Why did apple choose to use Objective C? Why not just use C++? What are the differences? Is objective C more like C#?

And then, once we try to run away with "stolen" paper discs, the electric hound will come after us, right?
Why FreeBSD? Sure tests have shown that it's more secure, but theres still nothing like Linux.
Good point. 2.4 is more tested.
Just install the patch. kernel.org/.../patch-2.4.26.bz2
Why do people still use the 2.4 branch? Why not move onto the 2.6 branch? Why doesn't the kernel team devote their work for the new?
