I just UPGRADED friends pretty-good machine with some PC2100 ram and it now runs like an absolute dream. Who the heck decided that pc2700 was old ALREADY?
to be honest, opera is totally incredible for some things, but terrible for others. The amazing thing about opera is that you can make it do EVERYTHING... the settings are just huge.... its also unbelieably fast and low-footprint memory wise. However, what it isn't is a simple browser for general public to use day to day. when I use it i feel like im almost in a 'sub OS'... i feel engulfed by it all and it doesnt make me feel comfortable, whereas with firefox, its very much like its almost part of the OS and just subtley adds its own features.
Opera ---is--- a brilliant browser, i just feel it's not suitable for the general public.
They dont check the accuracy of any posts, which, in my view is a bit lazy, but whatever... there's only 10-20 stories a day...... yet they cant read the blurb? Bah.
...and you're about to get a serious neck injury. Past experience (when i was much younger) from being in a car at the front of 20 cars tailgating each other shows that my mother gained a very serious neck injury/whiplash from the subsequent crash. They may be at fault insurance wise, but you sure as hell won't be fairing too well.
actually no, but im proud to say that my coding for the project was REALLY REALLY neat, so it didnt do any harm work wise to do that.
The deadline was unrealistic, its a project thats gone on for months and ive just grown tired of it and felt unmotivated, so a deadline had to be set. unfortunately, even that didnt push it far enough.. so there's still a bit left to do...
it's definately a balance. for a year now ive worked in an office of 10, in a room of 3 people (including me). Increasingly though, ive grown tired of the people; depending on combinations of who's in our room at the time (people often wander in and work with someone/chat), i get different stress levels, and sometimes (very much so in the past few months) find it EXTREMELY hard to work at all with certain people in the room, or just ANYONE in the room. It's pretty much got to a point where there's 1 guy (who is having a break in a week for 2 months, phew) TOTALLY destroys any moral to work. He's just that much of a cock....heh.... loves the sound of his own voice...self righteous...everything *sigh*.
So... a few days ago i had a big deadline. I was REALLY getting concerned by my workflow (or lack of...) so i took the opportunity to work from home (i live 200 yards away, so the guys dont have a problem with it) and worked 36 hours flat (dont.. ask) because for the first time in months, i felt GENUINELY motivated. i couldnt believe how motivated i was just being able to focus without some idiot slagging me off/boosting his ego.
And that's my story. too much of one can piss you off, too little can also piss you off... and dont work with wankers, it isnt fun.
when i was younger i was the ol' 00 gauge obsessive. had a beautifully modelled setup. Was lovely. Had level crossing which detected when a train was coming plus a 4 track terminus. i do worry about my mental state back then:-)... funnily enough i gave it up as i felt it was a bit socially unacceptable....... and now it seems people think it's 'cool'
same here, me and a friend played that dead straight for a week all day everyday when we were younger. We got serverely addicted and I got to some ridiculous year (2040 or something).
Mental game, and absolutely incredible. Chris Sawyer deserves an OBE:-). The new transport tycoon looks a bit too simple for my liking. I liked the fact that it was super complex...
Reading this made me think about a very heavy flaw in a hell of a lot of developments in solar technology... bssdically, as it stands, we're paying the electrical companies costs to build/run plants, and effectively 'rent' of their machinery. what we're handed here is a very different subject where we BUY the machinery ourselves, plus deal with our own maintenance costs. So, whilst having them on your roof is brilliant, a powerplant consisting of a 'field' of solar cells seems a whole lot more viable as it allows for progressive 'sign up, sign out' billing, as most won't be able to afford the initial cost hit of solar cells... and without demand the prices will never fall... and without pricing falling the deman... you get the idea............Which is a shame because solar panels on everyones house could solve a hell of a lot of problems and make powerplants more like backup....
they wash the lettuce in such places? you must be talking about a restaurant. i repeat, they wash the lettuce? you must be talking about a food place that doesn't exist.
It's true. They were REALLY narky about people distributing it themselves online as there was quite a worry that 'trojan injected' versions might suddenly emerge from the piles of files.......funnily enough, as always, it happened, i believe....

I'll have it!

NOPE :-)
:-)
gauge is the track width, scale is the scale to which real life the modelling is.
*puts hand up slowly to admit to being into such atrocities*
:-)
If i had mod points, i would
did you look under the stairs?
to be honest i think the MPPA are one of the main reasons for it not going to supernova.

the guardian IS the observer.
The observer is the sunday version of the guardian.
it's brilliant when a post about apathy turns into a (lack of) discussion full of apathy
dude, im brian.

awww she believes in it too. cheeeeeeeeeeeeeright!
hahahahahahahhahaaaa you're assuming some kind of alter-wierdo ego, right?

try exporting. i bet the file is user-editable in a text editor before importing.

"Does this mean AOL is trying to become something which it is not?"
