    But this is no meaningful definition of "prove". Of course one scientific observation "proves" that in this single case everything happens as just observed. But you did not prove a general rule there. You might sample a lot of observations that are consistent with each other and deduct a rule from that - but you cannot prove that rule. Every new observation might disprove it, because you can never observe all possible cases. The scientific method works by disproving previous hypotheses, not by proving them.

    How does ID not require faith? So, certain structures are, as ID puts it, too complex (irreducibly complex) to emerge by evolution. They have to be created. Then ID stops. Who creates the creator? He has necessarily to be more complex than its creations. Does this go on ad infinitum? Now answers there from the ID crowd. You have to put your faith into the existance of that creator and his springing into existence by whatever means. Faith. Lots of it.

    "Which would you rather read, a book that takes forty hours to complete or a short story that lasts just a few minutes? Don't be too quick to answer. The former asks for a serious time commitment. The latter says come and go as you please. One is a ball and chain. The other is a 'Get Out of Jail Free' card.

    I like my epic games - no one forces me to play them in one weekend. A good long game is like a story that I can read/watch/take part in - all in my own pace.

    Wouldn't that give problems with latency and response times? I mean, let's say, you do a ping. It gives you the round-trip time. Now you know how fast your packet is - which means you do not know any longer where it is. Would that be a dropped packet? How are you supposed to ping on your quantum tunneling thingmabob anyway??
