The online gambling ban is effectively worse than a tariff. At least with a tariff you can still sell goods to the target market, you just get hit with a markup. The online gambling ban completely outlaws competition with the casinos in the US.
Every so often I see a golden example of why I would need a lawyer, rather than representing myself were I to land in court. While the distinction is obvious once you point it out, I thought the exact same thing as a dozen other posters on this thread.
Not sure I understand how "Isle of Slash" relates to Harry Potter, but yeah I can see/. now that you pointed it out. I kept trying to find the word 'slashdot' instead.
We've got some big assholes over here. They tend to be very publicly visible and hold a wide variety of elected positions. I'm surprised you're not familiar with them.
It looks like that first number is a pre-deduction paycheck, issued twice monthly. I came to that number by doing the math once (57000 / 2375 == 24), and by noticing that all the cents are either.00,.33, or.67
You are aware exercising constitutionally granted authority is NOT grounds for impeachment, right?
Besides, if it's important enough, they'll put together a budget that 2/3 of Congress can agree and then a veto doesn't matter.
Veto everything. With exceptions for bills that repeal earlier laws.
The cover art does it the other way:
Green eggs and Ham
It evoked a response.
I'm working on the assumption that the computing power of the newest supercomputers dwarves that which has gone before...
While both 'dwarfs' and 'dwarves' are commonly used pluralize the noun dwarf, 'dwarves' doesn't quite work for the verb form.
For example, "Even though he's only five feet tall, Bobby dwarfs the dwarves."
and FYI my firefox spell checker doesn't like 'dwarves'. It also doesn't like 'firefox' in lowercase.
And while I'm at it, let me apologize for a mostly useless contribution to the discussion.

Actually, it's the other way around -- inflammable means flammable.
And in this case, that's about as useful as the Dutch speaking Chinese. RTFA.
Careful... anthropomorphic doesn't like it when you confuse it with anthropic.
I didn't know I didn't want to know, but thanks to the other poster who replied I am regretfully informed.

It's on the right hand side near Digg, labeled "Isle of Slash"

You tricksy fiend! You made me RTFA!
And I don't think there was any implication they were. It seems more likely it was a comment on what kind of photos would have been involved.
I use a similar argument when people make fun of the "Most people think they are above average drivers" bit. We might (mostly) be right.
I'm sometimes amazed that people have trouble with this idea, but no difficulty understanding how 1 strong student can blow the grading curve.
Who said it wasn't necessary? Does the fact that it's necessary suddenly mean that they can build it for free?

Fascinating. I wonder how reliable they are.
no-parking zones don't enforce themselves. ...unlike parking meters?
I want to mod this "+1 fucking scary"
Dems voted for the patriot act too.
It was actually named after the same guy.

Absolutely. Hillary doesn't have an agenda other than getting elected. She'll take whatever issue is popular at any given moment and run with it.
While I, like you, am no Hillary fan, I don't quite see disaster pending if she's what we get stuck with.
