well, there were three reasons why I bough iRiver 20G jukebox - instead of an iPod: 1) No locking down to ONE SITE 2) Tone of features - which Apple does not offer: Mainly, fm tuner, voice recording (It's pretty amazing I can still listen to some cool jokes my friends made on me while visiting home sometimes back), recording from any other device directly to mp3, and reading directions on road with a text reader (and also, pretty damn good audio, photo viewer - which may not be unique, but is at par) 3) Every Tom, Dick or Harry is carrying a 'cool' looking ipod (this one works for me - I never wanted to part of that crowd)
Imagine watching a big Harley gang with big Harley people with big Harley clothes with big Harley expressions overtaking your Corolla - but the Harley engines are silent!!!
Windows? Ask Martin Taylor. He whould say in some very specific scenario on some very specific platforms, for some very specific tasks, Windows code is, say, more maintainable by some certain set of people.
In other words, if he can paraphrase it, its like 'Hey, i can still compile it (windows code) in some specific cases!'.

Well, no wonder that Al-Jazeera is not present in North America list. Not only media, but the corporate big-wigs too are biased. They only see yello (or green, for that matter).
Nothing unusual, but isn't the US of A harming itself by living in its own media shell? If this continues for a while (say 10 yrs?), and if one day somebody peeps 'out', he/she may realize that the whole world has moved ahead (or to some other planet, may be), while they have been living in something like The matrix.
BTW, is this true for Canada too, or its just because they are lumped together with USA?
I will definitely miss that loading time (of approx. 2 minutes) of Acrobat Reater and that invaluable information on those 4573 (or something) patents that they have for one document reader software!
As for how it worked for 3 days, either something overwrote something else, or I indeed have superior luck^Wskill. After all, Rincewind - the Great Wizzard - did survive all of that!

You can disable IDN support in mozilla products by setting 'network.enableIDN' to false. There is no workaround known for Opera or Safari.

You can circumvent, break and twist as many laws/rules (and other such stuff) as you want, and nobody would bother you.
99% chances are that you will survive with all these, 1% chances that you will be caught, but that would take another 10 years or so.

Yahoo Beta worked fine for me to locate one particular Paris Hilton mpeg.
But Google may be trying to make the search a bit more for people seeking real information than those heavy porno-centric searches.
