I agree, Apple's handling of multiple monitors isn't very good. I'm just saying if your problem is the menu placement there're several ways to address it (not the least of which is apple addressing multiple monitors more intuitively). Regardless, I'll stop pointing out useless solutions to the problem, which is in fact only a subset of much larger concerns to which I am not interested in addressing. Apple fails at some things.

In regards to your monitor problems: You can choose which display is primary or secondary in the display prefs, and on top of that, you can drag the displays around such that you can have secondary be to the left, right, top or bottom of the primary. 3000 pixels to the left may be too much, but 1000 up isn't. control+f2 focuses on the menu for keyboard navigation. And you can add to that the ability to have the mouse follow the keyboard focus to have it jump to the menu. OR my favorite: command+shift+/ access to any and all menu commands.

Of course, I happen to be near a store that isn't very busy at all, and that may have something to do with it. Though even when I've called AppleCare I was never on the phone for more than an hour. I haven't had a problem with their support.

Or, it could be that you have nothing better to do than play games because you've done all that is required of you already. There're many things that a person can do with that 5 hours, but that has nothing to do with intelligence, simply motivation and interest. I'd argue anyone who spends 5+ hours reading /. does the same things as does a person who spends 5+ hours doing anything. Also, after doing a few hours of calculous homework or coding for 14 hours, a 5 hour detox like that is needed.

In the process, you may threaten, and take pieces from your opponent. Can't recommend a good place to read the rules, but I can recommend Kiseido Go Server if you want to play. They're good about teaching newbz to play, and often, players will go back through a game afterward and give advice on how to improve your game. They do have a section on how to play, but I haven't read it, I learned at school.

Yes the church should love and help others, but they should not support them in their sin. If you know someone is addicted to drugs you are not helping them by driving them over to their dealer.

I wasn't implying that at all. Getting people over their hurdles such as addiction is the goal, not getting them to like you or get them in a seat, but to get them back to a point of restored living. Jesus hung out with the worst of the worst *unbelievers*. They are unbelievers and so are not expected to behave as Christians should. Jesus went to the temple and talked w/ the pharisees too, he offered help to them, but once they rejected him he moved on to other places.

  17. Re:homosexuality on A Savant Explains His Abilities · · Score: 1

People have a general misconception of homosexuality in the church, and that is that it is somehow separate or more drastic than other sins that the Bible discusses. Doesn't really matter if you're gay, an alchoholic, or a pastor, you're in the same boat as everyone else. Not many churches have embraced this idea in the past and that is why you couldn't be a member of the church, but this should (and is/will) change.

My position is if a homosexual does not profess to be a believer then there is no reason for me to say anything to him about it. If someone professes to be a Christian, and a homosexual then I am to have nothing to do with him until such time as he repents.

Not to prod too much, but how is such a view of Christianity helpful to anyone besides yourself? Jesus hung with the worst of the worst, perhaps you should be a little more accepting. All people deserve to be accepted in the church as it is the church's acceptance of people that will allow people to feel comfortable. It's the church's responsibility to love and help others not to condemn them.

    1) It is impossible to prove something doesn't exist as your mere conception of it brings it into some semblance of existance. Everything that doesn't exist we don't know about as existence is the compendium of all life, matter, ideas, and otherwise that we know about. 2) Failure to prove a claim does not make it false. I cannot prove to you that 2+2=4 (thought I can prove .9 is =1), but does that make that statement false? Not necessarily. It is possible that proof exists, you can only be certain of something once you can prove the opposite of it to be either true or false. In the case of God for example, if you can't prove that He exists, you must prove He doesn't exist to say that He doesn't. If you can't do either you must agree that the existence of God is up for question or personal opinion. Once a case with emphatic evidence has been brought up, then you can declare one way or the other. Until then... I DEMAND RIGID BOUNDARIES OF UNCERTAINTY.
