    Nintendo hasnt had a original idea in decades.

    Motion control gaming hadn't been done well before the wii came out. The DS was pretty original (although maybe derivative of the old game-and-watch toys).

    The same games with the same characters.

    These are consistantly the most fun video games on the market. I don't care about the newest features, Mario et all are a great diversion! Every Zelda game is a fun adventure that I look forward to embarking on.

    I don't need new charecters to be honest; the old ones are just fine.

    I was thinking the same thing. Java is great for prototyping.

    Unfortunately, business people rarely know the difference between a software prototype and a product.

    In other news...we have iPads. Also, it seems even the utopian Germany is not invulnerable to economic downturn:

    This was possibly a result of being associated with the EU, and all of the cultures involved that are not as...hard working as the Germans.

    Most compititions generally have a loser... Capitilism may not be perfect, but it's the best socioeconomic system we've got. Anyone complaining about it can go ahead and invent a new one. Socialism (under any name) isn't it.

    We all did. We traveled at 1 Day/Day. We haven't figured out how to go at any other speed, that's all.

    Sooner or later companies will figure out that they can do the same thing with batteries as they did with ink cartridges.

    Do you mean "Incredibly cheap device, Super Expensive battery"? To me, that sounds way better then the status quo "Super Expensive Device, Unavailable Battery".

    (higher data rate, can support ethernet and a whole host of other protocols as well as audio)

    Can't speak for data rate, but HDMI supports both ethernet and audio...

    Did you notice how the subject being taught is "Computer Science", not "IT"? There's a reason the names are different.

    I really wish people would stop making this mistake...to the point that I think we should come up with a name for CS that doesn't have the word "Computer" in it.
