Now i'm curious if Ubuntu 11.04 aka Natty Narwhal will ship Linux 2.6.38

According to Natty alpha site it will ... http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/natty/alpha3

You would have to be running pre-10.1 version of flash first. Then the exploit would have to force your system to execute code that was written for *nix. Since Windows is the majority of the market I doubt anyone has taken the time to write such code for this exploit. I think your safe. :)

  11. So... on Toshiba Adds VoIP to PCs · · Score: 2, Interesting
VOIP technology is being considered by some companies that wish to manage only one network for both voice and data communications in order to cut operating costs.
These companys have to 1st upgrade to systems running XP and they have to be Toshiba brand PC's/laptops and then purchase @ $200 a pop a licence for each peice of software. I could see why they might be waiting to jump on this.

IMHO I think RotK had the best CGI that you couldn't tell was CGI I've ever seen. In the matrix though the FX was good the CGI stuff just kinda looked, well, computer generated. I also did not really see anything in Matrix 2/3 that really raised the bar from original Matrix. I was pretty impressed w/ T3 FX although you could still tell they were computer generated unlike Gollum and the many other characters in RotK.

I have found the most annoying change to be in the fact that you now have to go under options and choose "mini player" instead of just being able to hit the center button in the top left. I know, I know, theres a shortcut key option but I still find it a pain in the arse.

  16. Re:Digging their own graves... on Clay Shirky: RIAA Succeeds Where Cypherpunks Fail · · Score: 1

Anybody else thinks that, if encrypted file-sharing becomes a reality, the RIAA will simply implode?

They seem to be set to waste every cent they currently have on protecting there music. So even if they couldn't sue every user, what would keep them from wasting more $ on flooding the next wave of p2p with hundreds of thousands more copies of corrupted music files? The average user I think would just "move on" to the next up and coming p2p and the RIAA only has to repeat there effort.

  17. Re:yes.... on CRIA Prepares To Sue P2P Copyright Violators · · Score: 1

Music quality is a constant; the good-stuff-to-crap ratio is about the same today as it was ten or twenty or thirty years ago.

If the ratio is the same why could I at least listen to the radio back then and not now? Today its no talent boy bands and girls that have to be 1/2 naked to sell cds. Even the crap bands "way back when" I think had more talent then some of the crap being pumped into todays airwaves.
