Normally, it might take hours to reload programs and resuscitate this dead machine. But with Internet Suspend/Resume, Helfrich was able to instantly restore his work and proceed as if nothing had happened.

Okay well firstly, a deleted file isn't really 'deleted' in the sense of the word, it's entry has just been erased from the File Allocation Tables(FAT); I am assuming that he is running Wind0ws, else he wouldn't be in this mess!
Anyone can recover the 'deleted' files with a various programs (TuneUp Utilities comes to mind), as long as it hasn't been overwritten with other data on the platters yet.
You see the funny thing about quantum theory is that the state of molecules change upon observation. So that means that even if a person did eavesdrop, it wouldn't matter because the bit would change and become useless to the eavesdropper
Or actually even better, get him into Counter Strike! That way he can learn how to communicate with other players to survive a round while still enjoying the game. try Counterstrike.org for a list of servers.

I think that is a question at the back of everyone's mind.
Well I don't really know much about Directv (execpt for what i've read on slashdot) because i come from South Africa. The national media provider here SABC doesn't offer cable, only satellite. And most of our satellite channels are european!
Like we only get MTVE instead of the usual 3 or so different MTV channels. The South African national channels suck so badly that often the only thing to do is to get satellite and pay like crazy amount for it per month.
And because most of our channels are european, that means that we in sunny south africa often lose our signals because of the poor weather in europe.
So overall, satellite beats anything in my country!
But one could also argue the similarity of MikeRoweSoft to Microsoft as Lindows is to Windows...
Mike Rowe must have known that his company sounds phonetically perfect to the software tyrant! But yet, he is seen as a hero to the Open Source community and Lindows is scrutinised!

Yes that is true, AMD is much cheaper for perfomance against Intel...
But, AMD's are well known to run extremely hot and will need a good couple of system fans and a new CPU fan to keep the temperature the same as a Pentium. Which, if you add it up, actually amounts to the same price as a Intel processor!
AMD are also notorious for their short lived processors that die prematurely due to the excessive overclocking that AMD fanatics live by.
If you are a true PC junkie then AMD is for you, but for those of you that want your PC to last longer than a couple of months then Intel is the way to go.

I think this is a brilliant stepping stone to the revolution of nano technology! I predict that in 5-10 years, the cost of living will plummet and there will not be any more concern about world hunger. Everybody will be equal in wealth and stature. This basically means that the only way that will divide people up will be the blood that they have inherited.
