  1. Just what we need on On Reaction-Based Massively Multiplayer Gaming · · Score: 4, Insightful

the dumbing down of RPG's like has happened in the strategy world. Real Time Strategy games have overall dumbed down the level of games so as to increase the market share of them. Even calling Everquest a RPG is a stretch but at least it isn't a twitch game where very little thought is needed in order to do well. RPG's are about long term choices you make and involve many, many hours of advancement and choices. Even the 24 hours or so to beat Knights of the Old Republic is a quick RPG.

Then throw in the mix at how poor the Apache's did in Iraq this time with several being shot down by small arms fire and you have a platform that has outlived it's use.

Or to remove your biased spin. These weapons will flot up there without a known enemy, but once a foreign nation or terror organization attacks the US or fails to comply with UN resolutions the threat of these weapons will be stated. If the mere threat doesn't work, then they will be used.

Naturally the world will be a safer place for everyone.

Wow let's make an attack on the President by calling him a name.

While no one can call George W Bush a great president, no one can call him a poor one either. It has been quite some time since we have had a balanced President. Clinton did well on the domestic side of things, but let the foriegn brew into an explosive mess that included 9/11. On the other hand Bush has shown he really doesn't have a clue on domestic issues, but put him in the foriegn field and he stands up for what is right.

Wow reading some of the comments from the Union of Concerned Scientists, I get the impression that they haven't left the lab in 40 years.

While historicaly every empire has falled we can not afford to hasten the fall of the United States of America by failing to maintain a clear technological and military advantage over the rest of the world.

If we don't develop effective space based weapons then someone else will and then we will be at a disadvantage. Nothing like dropping a big rock from orbit onto Washington DC to get your point across.

LS1Edit is awesome for tuning LS1 based motors. Now I know there will be The Faithful who laugh at it because it isn't Open Source. I'm still learning it but I full expect to hit 420RWHP and 400+ RWTQ on 00 Z28 with it. Granted I've got lots of other parts, but for the nerd who loves power you just can't go wrong with tuning your own car via your laptop. Though I really don't consider it hacking, I'm just changing values in data maps. The real hacking is done by the guy who writes LS1Edit.

Now onto optical mice, they have improved a lot since the early type you are talking about. I have a Logitech MX500 and it is just as quick and accurate as ball mouse I've ever used.

I have had verizon wireless for years and I've been waiting for the "Can you hear me now? Good." guy to come around my area so they could improve the coverage. Well with number porting allowed I switched to T-Mobile and now have much better coverage where I need it! I did borrow my sisters T-Mobile phone before so I knew I would get signal. The process was painless. I called verizon and made sure I wasn't under a contract anymore and then walked into a T-Mobile store. Took a bit of time for them to do the paperwork since it was the first number port that the manager who was helping me had done. A little less then 24 hours later my new Sony Ericsson T-610 phone was working.
