    The HTC HD2 on t-Mobile has the 1Ghz snapdragon processor and run Windows Mobile 6.5. Development for it is pretty simple using .NET, but you can use lower level tools as well.

    And this tax is tracked how online? On ebay, for example, is ebay required to collect this tax? or the seller? or does the buyer just record all their purchases and pay up at the end of the year? I'm all for a national sales tax, but it still requires tracking of individuals.

    It would be regulated the same way current casino slot and video poker machines are regulated. There are very strict regulations determining what machines are placed in casinos ["randomness", payouts, etc]. While I don't know if the source code is examined, I do know that the machines themselves, or at least a sampling of those machines, are examined by the gaming commissions.

    I was in Germany a month ago. I picked up a little usb dongle from the Vodafone store for 30 Euro with their Vodafone Mobile Connect service on a prepaid basis. Plugged it in, installed their software [which sucks] and got online for 10 euro per week. http://www.vodafone.de/privat/tarife/datentarife-websessions.html

    How good is the accelerometer and digital compass? Is it good enough to be able to do some blur / shake reduction of the image? Or how about improved panorama auto-stitching? This could actually be interesting... Maybe I need to break down and get an iphone, or wait for a camera enabled ipod.

    But if you want specific examples, former presidential candidate John Kerry is an excellent one. In 2008 he infamously said to a group of college kids:

    “You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

    That was a swipe at GW Bush. Who is often portrayed as being a 'C' student in college.

    That's a specious argument to make. Life imprisonment has already been shown to do just that, with or without the death penalty. The third strike tends to be much more violent than the previous two offenses

    Please list sources for this, I'm genuinely interested in any evidence to support this concept. I'm not a fan of three-strikes.

    But, really, it's time we stopped working so very hard to ensure that every defective child matures to breeding age. It does nothing but weaken us, as a race. (I mean the "Human" race - I do NOT mean anything at all like the Nazi's, or white supremacists mean by "race".)

    It's not that we should ensure that they reach breeding age, it's that, in the case of genetic diseases, we should ensure that they don't breed [assuming, of course, that they would be a burden on society, and have no positive impact]. There's no harm in letting disabled people live [minus any extra burden it may put on their family, etc].

    How does it handle the added noise of a large number of basically underexposed images? Does it just average it out? I was thinking about trying something like this with the other newish high speed Casio pocket cameras [which don't seem to be selling very well and are rapidly dropping in price].

    Actually, there is S/SCI, it's just not used very often. Palantir is a nice app, basically an improved Axis Pro or Analyst Notebook.
