Slashdot won't let you validate it...so I had to save a copy and validate it
You've obviously missed this nifty little tool -- it let's you run the W3C's Tidy in Firefox's view-page-source window. The only thing it's missing is a way to send the cleaned up HTML back to the browser window.
The one mouse button - any application designed well should only need one button.
So tell me, when I click a link in Firefox, should it behave as a left-click and open the page in the current tab, middle-click and open the page in a new tab, or right-click and open a context menu so I can save the link, bookmark it, or copy it to the clipboard?

But doesn't this prove that the third and fourth Alien movies were truly subpar and kind of detracts from the experience of the "extras"?
Not at all. Everyone with a modicum of taste already knows that the third and fourth movies sucked. What makes the Quadrilogy great is that the DVD producers don't pretend otherwise. Instead they use the discs to explain what went wrong.
Just because Alien^3 was a suckfest doesn't mean it's not interesting to hear how they went from a script by William Gibson, to a story about monks on a wooden planet, to a bunch of British prisoners who all look alike.

The LotR Extended Editions aren't all that. If you watch the Fellowship supplements, you've pretty much seen it all -- how many times can you here Richard Taylor talk about Bigatures? We get it already! They're miniatures, but they're really big!
The Alien Quadrilogy is much more impressive even if the actual films aren't as good. Not only do you get extended editions of the films, but they're presented in a branching formats so you can choose which version you want to watch. But more importantly, the docus aren't all technical wankery and cast and crew jerking each other off; people actually slag off on each other, and the crew of Alien^3 essentially apologize for the movie.
The Sixth Sense doesn't require two viewings. It barely requires one. The "twist" was amazingly obvious if you paid attention from the beginning. Unfortunately, most people shift their brains into neutral when they enter a theater.

Sorry, but the Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets don't deserve to be on that list. Don't get me wrong, I love both trilogies, but the DVDs are completely underwhelming. Apart from Irving Kershner on Empire, the commentaries are complete snooze-fests, and the docus in those sets were edited by people who think Bill Moyer specials are the epitome of entertaining documentaries. I'd actually rate the THX-1138 DVD above the Star Wars set -- at least there, Lucas offered an honest appraisal of his career, and actually seemed to enjoy talking about his work.
I dont know about you all, but are people really having such a hard time finding files on there computer? It seems that if your savvy enough to find and install one of these programs (and i know many who arent!) you can probably find you files when you need them!
I know precisely where all my Gaim logs are stored, but that doesn't mean I can find a specific conversation when I want it. Given the choice between searching all the logs at once, and opening each one up and ctrl-F'ing through it, I'll take the former.
Once Patrick left, the new guy (what the hell happend to him? There for a couple weeks, gone the next), albeit annoying, was reasonable (and a computer science major I believe, making him at least somewhat educated on the subject =p )
About a month ago, there was a big shake-up on TSS, and Alex got the boot along with Dan, Yoshi, and a bunch of the production crew. Kevin and Sara stayed on, though Kevin stepped down as host to take on a bigger role behind the scenes -- at least that was the theory, though in practice he's in any segment that would tax the technical skills of a retarded five year old (or Chi-Lan).
I've checked Kevin and Sarah's blogs often, and they never say anything negative about working at G4.
Kevin did once. Right after the TSS purge, he linked to Dan's post on what had happened and commented, "Just shows what people will do for a company they love. On an unrelated note, I'm calling in sick Monday." At the end of the entry, he added a "quote of the day": "Every time Chi-lan takes a live call, God kills a kitten."
I don't blame you for not seeing it, though, it was only on Kevin's site for about two hours before he removed it without comment.
Do you surf the web? Do you use IRC or any chat service? What exactly does bittorrent, a web or IRC server or client do to make sure that no one is using it to distribute child porn?
Strawman.
The problem with Freenet isn't that it's a channel for kiddie porn, but that anyone who uses it could potentially be charged with distributing child pornography. You don't run that risk when you log onto an IRC or Usenet server.
OTOH, if there's a good OSS alternative to Quickbooks for Windows, some people will switch to that app
Quickbooks is the main thing keeping me from switching entirely to Linux. It's not that there are no OSS accounting programs, but I haven't found one that can read Quickbook formats, which is what my online bank statement comes in.
Firefox is version 1 while IE is version 6, they are 5 versions apart (in IE's terms though ;)
Yes, but given current rates of development, Firefox will reach 7.0 before IE.
One more reason we should be able to mod the actual stories and not just responses to them.

You should be able to view at least basic documentation without having to download the program.

Microchips were invented after 1980?

So it's your contention that Wikipedia contains inaccurate information and can not be relied upon?
Thank you, that's all I need to know.

Of course Kevin had it on his site about a month before it hit /. or TSS.
Of course they lobotomized X-Play. G4 can't have it making their homegrown review show (Judgement Day) look bad.
