Sorry, but in a similar situation, something tells me you'd be feeling the same way as him.

Having spent time with celebrities there's that split second at the start where you do an internal Keanu Reeves (woah, dude!) but then the rest of the time, they're a normal person, with normal things to do (eat, go to the toilet). It really is just an everyday sort of experience. Really, the time spent reading/watching their work is much better, and much more intimate with their psych. And a second spent with my girlfriend, watching the sun set, is much more significant than any amount of time spent with a celebrity.

I wonder how much of what we do on a daily basis is a result of free will when I hear about science like this.

Overall statistical laws don't say much about free will or not. There are always going to be regular patterns in behaviour (caused by things like the fact that most people don't want to walk 10 miles to work every day).

Governments would love equations that predict human behavior on a macroscopic scale.

The Australian Reserve Bank uses equations to predict macroeconomic conditions and adjusts interest rates accordingly.

No, I don't think Christians (or those of other faiths) are wrong in everything. Just that I don't believe in God(s), so I think they're wrong about God. Futher you are wrong in saying atheists believe Buddhists are wrong. If you want to extrapolate from a single belief to a set of beliefs, at least do it correctly, and it doesn't change the fact that a single belief ("there are no gods") isn't a system.

It's fairly well known that a lot of genes relating to nervous system development are X-linked, in some work by my colleagues looking at sleep and IQ, this is something that is controlled for by considering the mother's IQ. I would be interested if there were any variations with race, however. At a conference I'm just about to fly back from, one of the talks detailed how one metabolic mutation was carried by 10% of Caucasians, this fell to 4% in Chinese populations, and only 1% in Japanese.
