To quote one horticologist, "We thought it was extinct, afterall in the previous 70 years we have not discovered a single one. Then all of a sudden our intern Steve suggested looking around its namesake mountain. Low and behold it was there after all, you should have seen the look on my face when I had to pay Steve that 20 bucks I bet him."

    FYI - throughout the entire history of the planet the environment has been changing. Ice has frozen, and ice has thawed. It's been melting for 10,000 years (as we're still coming out of the last ice age). It will still be changing in a thousand years, with or without us.

We do not create this energy, nor do we add it to the ocean, the sun and atomophere take care of most of that. They were here long before us, and they will be here long after us

    Finally, someone who knows about the hypocracy that was Lincoln. We (the USA) said we didn't want to live under England's rule anymore. We draft the Declaration of Independence then fight a war when they refuse to leave.

    But, when the Confederate states do not feel that they are being represented and wish to lay out a form of government that will serve their needs, then they are suddenly "rebels" and should not be allowed to have that choice.

    To sum it up in one quote, from one of the most important founding documents:
    " Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

    Now, doesn't it seem like Lincoln disagreed completely with this sentence??

    They show no fear because there is no "major" competition for them. At least not in Linux and FOSS, the competition they're worried about is in the online portals, like Gooogle.

    It's common sense. Their economic system (marxism merging into a psuedo-communism) has prevented the growth. No system which refuses to reward individual achievement is ever going to reach high levels of achievement.

    Ok, so when Soviet Union uses it's power in another country it is helping, but when the USA does the SAME THING it is imperialism?

    The Soviets were helping because they knew that they would get something in return. They also realized that their system would not support itself; in order to maintain a living standard (which they couldn't do) they would need to continue to obtain new property from which to extract resources. This is exactly what colonialist Europe was about in the 1800's, except the Europeans weren't doing it to survive, they were doing it to thrive.
