Is Marvel Ultimate Alliance really any better for having you shake a controller instead of press a button? Once the shiny wears off the motion detection, I imagine we'll see quite a few Wii games that make little to no use of motion detection because it just doesn't fit within the framework of the game.

If I had been willing to go with a Sempron, I could've gotten it with a Vista Basic or Home or whatever they call their crappiest license for $190 shipped. And they included the keyboard and mouse. The only catch is that you have to get on the site when they put out their newest batch of computers since they're first-come-first-serve. When I bought my HDTV I was shocked by how many digital feeds I picked up with a rabbit ear antennae with an amp on it. They're very finicky in the weather but no more than the analog feeds. My biggest annoyance is digital audio. It gets really choppy when the analog audio still comes in just fine. Also for some reason ABC (and only ABC out of the 4) will sometimes seem to look fine but the audio and video will be out of synch. Other than that, when the analog feed is bad the digital feed is usually ok. If I had to drop one or the other, I'd probably drop the analog.

If you're going to blog from the stands, then no they can't stop you but if you're going to use your blog to become a card-carrying member of the press and get into the event on their dime, then you're going to play by their rules. Generally speaking they will be keeping an eye on you in that case. They're kind of stupid rules but at least bloggers can get press credentials for NCAA events.

All of the local stations in my area that have gone digital provide one slice of their signal exclusively for weather. Given channel X on ATSC, X-1 will be the station's main content, and either X-2 or X-3 will be a 24/7 live radar with occasional forecasts.

Unfortunately, some of the techniques they used to use for teaching lessions led to poor retention. I imagine the intended for adult line protects the old episodes from being viewed as education television more than anything else. From what we now understand about childhood education, they're not very educational. This is unfortunate because they are very entertaining and interest in shows like Sesame Street probably had a big hand in people taking an interest in childhood education.
