If Best Buy is more efficient in their stock distribution, why shouldn't they be allowed to sell that stock first? Seems like they're running their business better and should be able to reap the benefits. After all, does the publisher really care what retail outlet is selling their wares, as long as they're being sold?
"Lobster used to be used as fertilizer because it was deemed 'trash food' and apprentice contracts were written that forbid having to eat it more than a few times a week."
I'm guessing you recently watched the Maine episode of Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern.
You're probably right. He was about to retire, so I bet instead of teaching us how to handle the mismatched speeds, merging, etc., he took the easy way out and said "just stay to the left." It was probably a little less stress on his ticker to do that too. I know riding around with green drivers make me nearly go into cardiac arrest. I can't imagine doing it all day.
In cities, I can handle it - things are messed up enough as is - but when you're on the highway, GET OVER, DOUCHEBAGS. I imagine it comes from crappy drivers' ed teachers; mine told me to always drive in the left lane so you "have more opportunities to avoid an accident." I'm not sure how that would work...
I hate playing devil's advocate, but if a band doesn't read AND understand their contract to realize they are selling their souls, they deserve what they get. Everyone knows big record companies are just trying to make money (and some small record companies) are going to do what it takes to make money. It's your own damn fault if you bought into it.
PS - It's pretty common knowledge among musicians that you are on the hook for production costs not to mention advertising and all sorts of other costs.
In addition to lacking auto-driving tech, we in the US have a woefully inadequate licensing program. If you had to pass a test similar to a pilot's license test in order to drive a car, I bet accident rates would plummet to match that of airplanes.
I live in and work for a city with four 1.8 megawatt turbines and can support that research with anecdotal evidence. The utilities director has informed me that the only things our turbines have killed are bats. The assumption is that the blades screw up the bats' echolocation. Even then, the numbers of bats that have been found are very minimal.
I'm not sure if you realized it, but the machine you are using to post on Slashdot can also be used to research, discover AND purchase all kinds of music! It's amazing!
I'd reckon that not creating software for a specific platform indicates not supporting that platform. How does one support software that doesn't exist?
Along with blues, I also have a problem with deep reds. I assume it's because our natural lenses don't have a high enough index of refraction at those wavelengths since they are so far from the green that we can see best.
You'd think that Gibson would have realized that Guitar Hero violates their patent back in 2004 or 2005 when they signed the endorsement deal for the original game.
I repeat eonlabs' request for a list posting. That sounds like a wonderful idea.
Contrary to common wisdom, lemmings do not actually commit mass suicide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemming#Myths_and_misconceptions

Whoops, I read that wrong. 22 state legislative chambers... not at all the same as 22 states.
22 states have already signed on. Check out http://nationalpopularvote.com/

I don't know any Idahoians here in Ohio, so I cannot answer your question. Well, I suppose I could answer "mu". :)
"If I passed you on the right you are in the wrong fucking lane"
This is the one I would use the most. Apparently Ohioans don't understand the term "passing lane".
From TFA: "He suggested building an initrd-based image to cover the remaining 5%."
Isn't kudos already the plural of kudo?
Damn you! No mod points! Best comment today.
Another possible option would to have a few minor henchmen around that you could defeat for orbs.
Oooh, that's the DNS server I use at home. Sweeeet.
But you can download someone else's copy. For archival purposes, of course.

I think you meant....
Tebibyte: Ubit's bubad bubecubause ubit mubakes yubou subound lubike Mubushmubouth.
I personally hate when long tables/lists aren't zebra striped. If the type is smaller than 10 point or so, I REALLY need this.
