You must be forgetting the fast-paced, finely tuned, ultra-realistic bloatware that is Microsoft Word 97. Yeah, that's right, a pinball game somehow slipped into the release of Word 97... oops.
I personally enjoyed the fact that after installing the CD drive, video card, sound card, WinModem, etc., the guide instructed you to then install the CPU. Additionally, K7 != Pentium. Fairly humorous article, though (but the "son a computer hacker" article is high-larious).
So I played through that Photopia game. It took about an hour for me to go through it. I definitely think I missed something, though...
SPOILER ALERT
So the guy you're with at the beginning (who you can get booted out by) runs a red and hits Alley, right? What else happens? And I'm not sure what the near-drowning or Gabriel have to do with anything. Maybe I should go play it again...
For the record my post above was half joke, half informative. Your assessment of trolls is correct, but there is still no reason that one should reply to trolls.
I don't think you understand the purpose of the sacred troll. Trolls are carefully crafted to elicit many uselss (though quite correct) responses from unsuspecting folk such as yourself. It decreases the signal-to-noise ratio on Slashdot. Perhaps one day, Slashdot will be unreadable and the editors will finally have to answer for their moderation cabal's crimes. Thanks for contributing to the Anti-Slash Jihad.
Ack... "I found in their discussion." Slashdot needs some sort of button allowing one to preview a post before actually submitting it. I would call it the "pre-post view for errors" button.
So I didn't RTFA, but does the "Mac" Unit take care of business by killing pirates using Ingrams (e.g. Mac-10, Mac-11)? Intriguing. I wonder if Max Payne has already applied for the job...
If your introductory calculus course allowed you to use such technology, you probably didn't learn anything. As for teaching methodologies, teachers can teach however they want without book support.
Is that an attempt at a troll? Xlib over at freedesktop.org is based off of the Xlib from XFree86 (which is the most often-used version).
Also, advertising clauses can be incompatible with the GPL if they impose additional restrictions that the GPL does not (an official stance has not yet been put forth in this case).
This would not surprise me about 95% of the time.
And then with those tickets you can... wait, why did I want tickets, again? So I can get a friendship bracelet? No thanks.

An apology on Slashdot... you must be new here (I know, I know--overused joke ;)

Thanks! Slashdot was getting kind of slow when I went there. It's probably down by now.
Then don't play at his table.

I did not write the Sancho GUI. I did, however, write the ftv_gnome GUI for furious_tv (which I also wrote).

Yeah, their special department for eunuchs is called the "choir unit."

Here are a few choice trolls I found in there discussion, duplicated here for your convenience:
Actually, that was just a joke.
Oh that's good... but it hurts.

Cool, so I can get a job with Microsoft just for macking? I do that in my free time, anyway!

So has anyone cracked the student identification serials yet?
Or a "loaded gun" phallacy

Like dying of a heart attack. I mean, healthy for society, of course.
Well if it's GPL-incompatible, a great deal of software that's already been written may not be able to be linked with the X libraries and whatnot.
So if the X libraries are going to be GPL-incompatible, what does this mean for the GPL-licensed Qt toolkit and KDE?
