The reason is quite simple. Humans aspire to be more than they are. It is the reason we develop new technologies, and spend our time diving into research endeavors. We want to be more, and the easiest way is to simply evolve. It takes no effort, as opposed to active self-improvement.
It's more of the give-me-a-pill-to-be-better mentality.
They tell you this in high school criminal law. The US Government has immunity from lawsuits unless it waives its immunity. In other words, it's immune to lawsuits. Google, and paying attention in class, are your friends.
sadly, I wasn't modded down. After making only 4 or 5 posts on slashdot i've already got "bad karma", and my posts start at 0. I think I must just end up posting on days when less intelligent people get mod points.
I personally think that we should only be able to mod up.
Okay, so Mozilla 1.8b1 is released. Dandy.
Now, In the same article they point out that FF's growth rate has gone down a smidge.

FUD. Next!
Who on earth needs a terabyte of storage? And more importantly, Why would we want it on a non-hard disk. The massive storage would be so much better on a hard disk. I can't imagine wanting to carry a terabyte with me on a disk!
If they are no longer going to support cable directly, how do they plan to muster any support? Can't the cable companies just encode the signal to prevent Tivo from recording int?
Because it never existed in the first place. They are just making things up now, and there is no reason to believe anything they say, especially with all the egg coating on their integrity.
My nintendo 64 has been through a lot at my hands: three days after i bought it i dropped it from a second-story window. It was then sat on by my friend Kyle the next day. after this my little brother poured juice (apple) on it, and it was then left in a car for three days in the summer.
it still works fine (thank you nintendo)!
