... a better use for some usher with a pair of night vision goggles would be to find the kids who talk and generally muck about in a cinema and thereby ruin it for everyone else.
I pay to watch the film, not listen to teenagers chat with friends or put up with them throwing stuff about.
Preferably they'd be equipped with a crowbar and a tranquilliser-dart gun too.
Because I was a lazy journalist?
"Bah, just throw some cliches together - it'll write itself."

Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism have always stated that life is everywhere and that Earth is just some insignificant little planet in a very big universe. Hindu scriptures even have space rockets in 'em.
Seems like it's going to be a problem for the big 3 theisms of Judaism, Christianity and Islam that'll have the problems if anyone is going to.
I may be being a little naive, but I'd trust NASA if they said they'd found water on Mars. Just as long as they don't start claiming they're cloning babies to join the Space Brothers.
By the licence fee [BBC.co.uk], which is about 100 every year.
I used to really object to paying it, but then I went to New York and saw the quality of the TV there, and I'm now very happy to support the BBC, if only for their excellent news services.
The only thing you've prove is that there are thoughts, which is a tautology. Any more extrapolation from that (such as positing a concrete "I") is often invalid.
Demolishing such falicious conclusions has been the goal of Buddhism (and some other philosophies) for millenia. It's very successful at it.
I have to say that even though Appleseed - which started off with his early style of drawing, which isn't very good compared to the stuff he does now - it beats the crap out of the latest GITS:MMI.
Although I bought and read them all, MMI was a let down for me. All it seemed to be was an excuse for an overly obscure plot populated by (unnecessarily) scantily clad women. It certainly had a feel of 'dirty old man' about it IMHO, and kind of put me off his work.
This trailer, though, looks amazing.

Which no doubt they'll be trying to sneak into our precious bodily fluids...

Running IS the most effective martial art. "Nike-do", as it's called by martial-art geeks.
