  1. Duke Nukem on Which Game Series Would You Reboot? · · Score: 1

It's about time we got another Duke Nuke game, right? How about one using the latest CryEngine?

  2. So will this be caught by AV? on 92% of Windows PCs Vulnerable To Zero-Day Attacks On Flash · · Score: 2, Informative

This is something that can be detected and stopped by Antivirus software, right? Since my Avast! updates every day, if it can protect me against this Flash vulnerability, then it shouldn't matter to me when Adobe issues the patch.

But what if the old AI guys were right, and the essence of being a mind is in the programming, not the hardware?

Actually, that makes sense. What good would be making a 1:1 copy of a computer's hardware when the copy doesn't even have a loaded BIOS and you have no clue how to flash it?

  7. Re:Pepsi points on Lawyer Offers $1M For Proof His Client Could Have Done It; Oops · · Score: 1

The ruling in the Pepsi points case was based on the unreasonableness of the belief that a military jet would be given as a prize for buying Pepsi points. The airplane was worth tens of millions. Also, the commercial was seen as an advertisement and not an offer to enter into a contract.

So Best Buy could run an add stating that "This Friday, all our computers and big screen TVs are $1 each!" and since it is such an unreasonable offer they'll get away with not following through?

I, for one, can't play roguelikes with the ascii graphics. The original Rogue is fine, but I draw the line once you get to dozens of monsters and items sharing the same letter/symbol and only distinguishable by the color. I don't want to use the 'look' command every time something appears on the screen. That's why a roguelike needs a decent tile set before I play it (and happily, most of the good ones have one or twenty.)

Closet homosexuals are all for tits. They'd live in houses made of tits if they could, to advertise to the world how manly they are, in between gaybashing those homosexuals who are actually secure in their sexuality.
