No sooner did I make that other post, than I realized I probably sounded very harsh. I'm personally holding out for John McCain. If he had been voted in in 2000, life would be perfect. Feel free to disagree, but I don't think the man has an evil bone in his body.
No sooner had I submitted that than I realized that if "Platonic solid" was not understood by a reader, "regular polyhedra in Euclidean space" sure as hell would not be understood.
There's actually only five Platonic solids (regular polyhedra in Euclidean space): 1. Icosahedron (20-sided, all triangles) 2. Hexahedron (cube, 6-sided, all squares) 3. Dodecahedron (12-sided, all pentagons) 4. Tetrahedron (4-sided, triangular pyramid, all triangles) 5. Octahedron (8-sided, all triangles)
If the DNC had been held in Austin Texas the same thing would have happened.
I take it you are not from Texas. In Austin everyone loves the Democratic party. It is everywhere else in Texas that does not. Austin is known as "The Hippie Capital of Texas" by many conservatives in the state.
I merely posted this to point that out, not to dispute any other point you make.
Please don't spread FUD. I do both with Opera 8 beta perfectly (haven't upgraded yet, since I don't want the CEO to my favorite browser's company dead).

At least, I think/I/ is like the 'ee' in 'pee' and/i/ is like the 'i' in bit.

No, the correct US version is 'ridiculous'. However, many USians pronounce it 'reediculus'.
To me, it looked like you were trying to say "Probably" was "aritagou gozaimasu", which is what I was correcting. "Probably" is the combination of "tabun" and "darou" or other combinations to that effect.
For any aspiring Japanese students, please don't be alarmed; it was a typo. I'm sure that strider meant to say, "Probably thanks (arigatoo gozaimasu)."
And props for the kiwi comment;) Aussie/Kiwi comments remind me of USian/Canadian comments.
Aside from the fact that Boing Boing should have been "Boing Boing" or "boingboing", as both are used here, yes, it is English. In fact, it'd more correct than your post!:)
I'm not sure about possessing a patent-infringing product (I believe this is legal), but the actual creation of the product is, in theory, done in France I believe, which is in the EU. So I think it's in the clear thus far.
Thank you. Who says /. isn't edumacational?
I'm confused. Are you using 'desiderata' correctly? I only know two meanings -- a list of books you want, and prose about satisfaction.

I voted Bush as the lesser of two evils
I've said it once, and I'll say it again. You still voted for evil.

It'd actually be an undecagonal prism.
"oondecAgonal"
A has the accent, c is 'k' sound, 'agonal' pronounced exactly like in 'diagonal'.
That's about as logical a complaint about this article as "sure, I can play music on an iPod, but what happens if I'm deaf?"
Answer: you can't use this hack in your case.

Yeah, but this is voice we're talking about. Quality is nearly irrelevant.
