I dont care if they have "good" shows. But my problem is if you advertise for gamers you should maybe... I dont know.... have gaming shows maybe? I am not saying that G4 don't, but more like: G4 dont have enough shows to advertise to games.
I think that what Tech TV is what it should be. That was the best version ever. You had your shows for gaming, techies, and even shows for non techies who wanted help. It was great! I absolutely love watching about Gates, Dell, Jobs, & company. But the one thing I loved the most was the other show series that appealed to geeks like Thunderbirds, Max Headroom(it took me a bit to like it but I loved the idea), and the movies they would show.
In contrast, I see what G4 is trying to do but it wont work that way for gamers. They are trying to link racing, sex, and violence to gaming. 1 and a half of those dont work with gamers. Racing sure is a good portion of gaming now and days... but honestly, we dont need to watch a large number of MTV like show about it. And most gamers are interested in sex, its great and all, but how many games involve it?(Ok, this side of the pond in america, I know its in great numbers in Japan.) I have a feeling they are trying to apeal to people who think they might be gamers and try to convince them that they are. But while doing all of that they alienate the "True Gamers". We all know who the real gamers are... those of us who game for extended amounts of time. We dont need people saying "YEA YO GOT GAME! YO GAMMER MAN!" And thats what is getting stuffed down our gullets.
I would like to state one for the record though: If MTV starts getting good game shows, I will watch it. But the moment they put a hip-hop feel to it... they lose all credibility. This is why I like X-play.
Ok, Pixars Toy Story... CGI Right?
That was art.
ID's Doom 3... CGI Right?
That isnt art?
Same deal...
Games are as much art as movies under these principals
This for some odd reason is like the way my friend was speaking few months ago, here is the conversation:
"Nice pipes man!" "Pipes?" "You know... Pipes!" "Huh?" "WTF your problem?" "What are pipes?" "Exhust Pipes!"
Somehow that conversation has new meaning... Also I am questioning whether CEOs are tryin to adopt this kind of technique to not call things by technical terms. Why cant we just say lines or something else? I prefer "things" myself.
Not really. For one reason: Who is this critical mass you talk about? Their are 4 generealized groups of PC users that are relivent to the linux world that we want: 1.)Current Linux users, these guys are set and probibly wont go anywhere any time soon 2.) Buisness class users that use windows 3.) Educational users that use windows 4.) Home users that use windows
3 & 4 are typicaly the same, and are considered the "critical mass" since their are more in this group.
The problem I see is not linux but the DE that comes with it. The average person will not care one bit about what linux does, because thats the way it is with windows. That is the main problem with DE's today, you have to worry about what linux does too much for it to be useable to grandma and grandpa. Once you make it that seamless then you have the stuff you need to go after the critical mass.
So now you will ask me:"How does this effect the reason why consolidation is good argument?"
It isnt distros that need to consolidate but more of an interaction with each other and with the DE makers.
To beat Microsoft in this arena, their needs to be more of a weaving between the DE and the kernal. I could be wrong and the only way this can happen is consolidation. This is my view, but most likely I am looking at things wrong.
But thats when you delete the char and remake. I personaly feel their is no use in keeping a char after 20 except to find runes and of the sort. The main reason why I say this is because their are 75 skills per class and you would have to level ~40 more times to be able to own them all. And it is tougher to gain those 40 levels at 20 then at lower levels. Maybe if you were able to find skill rings quicker or delearn skills.
But I dont mind leveling 10 chars to 20. Its not as tedious as EQ or any other MMOG for that fact. This game actually has a story line that you can follow. Plus a world to explore...
I think that it is great what NCsoft did... beta testing a game like this. And when you first start playing, you can feel that everything is well tested and hard to find bugs. The instant you start playing, you can tell you're going to have fun. Thus far, I am having a whole lot of it. I started playing during the second beta test like most people. And so far... I find it hard to put down. I have been waiting for this game for a while... and the wait was well worth it. I only hope that they can keep up with the expansions... I am leveling rather fast and see no sign of slowing down.
But note: I am going to play this game to completion. For those of you neh sayers that claim that this game is going to be too short... Try to collect all of the skills. And good luck trying to... each profession has 75 for a grand total of 450. All I have to say is: Settle in... GW is here to stay! See you on the servers!
And you know what would be totally awesome? If someone redid all the SW movies and turned it into like Pulp Fiction style editing. That would be so awesome, albet weird too. The best part about it is that you could condence the films into a 3 hour film...

If you want a good hack-m-slash rpg that is uber fun for GC then I suggest Tales of Symphonia. And kids... its multiplayer! Except at some points where it is just one person on their own, so you might have a fight over the controller.
Too bad Star Ocean isnt like this...(refering to Til the End of Time... since not many have their hands on older versions since JP release only)
I personally feel that this is like diablo multiplayer... just replace chat rooms with towns and you got diablo multiplayer.
The totally different part but great beauty that is GW is that their is a free exploration mode where you can go nearly everywhere. That means you could play the game rather non linearly. But it is rather difficult to go from one side of the world to the other since level change through areas. Not to mention that the world is huge...
I did play WoW for about 5 min and to be honest... what they have going is a great idea but too much like EQ I feel... but that was just after 5 min eval.
As well it seemed like you were able to do much more meaningful things in the begining of GW then WoW. But this is because GW has a storyline so you can eather follow it or deviate for a little bit.
So if I had a choice between GW and unlimited WoW I would chose GW since I liked it the most. But this is my 2c.
The opera scene moved me in FF6 more then the death of Aeris. I don't know why but I think I was bout to kill Aeris myself... she wasted a lot of potions and phoenix downs.
But if you really want "connection" then play Xenogears... Holy ****! That was a game where you had to sort of feel sorry for Fei and Elly(main chars). Plus it has the most beautiful intricate story of all.
I beleave that their will be many more players out their that can play AAC files. Their arnt that many options as it is. Now if apple will just release their strangle hold on the market it will grow at a very large rate. However I do see the advantage that it give Apple since if you want a player that can play AAC you must get an iPod.
This is the reason why I wished everything was a little bit more open sourced then what it is...
Michael Jackson will be playing Zelda in the next Zelda game. Paris Hilton will be playin as an unknown guy in the next DoA Game. And last but certinly not least, Mel Gibson will be playing as one of the greater minions of hell in the next expansion pack to Doom
All we need to do is put AoE in all classrooms(at least ones that have history teachers in them) so we can play it durring class. Now THAT would have made me want to go to school.
On a side note... I actually had a CAD class like that. The class started at 6:45 am and every Friday we were able to do what we wished on the computers. I played AoE a few times. But I mainly was playin scorched earth(2D/3D) a few times. Let it be known I got nothing done on those days:)
But who would be able to see it?
Their would be so much nudity in it that it would be rated X...
Besides... if its anything like the game... we wouldnt be able to see it anyways! At least until I become a senior citizen.
Why dont you bend over and kiss my butt...
I GIVE G00D B007 S3X!
All I know if my ISP complied to this arrogent little "Term of Agreement" I would be asking the question: "What kind of buisness do you run?" Because that is just purely uneconomical.
Most people who watch reality are adults with lifes. For the most part.
However most of the people that watch MTPeee are Kids who have no idea of what life really is...
Which is slashdot... And tiny slips of paper called checks and pink slips...
Well... If you really want to know the truth about Jar Jar....
We have already seen him killed... A New Hope...
When the Death Star destroyed Alderan Jar Jar was killed.
How you might ask?
At the end of this film Jar Jar is sent to Alderan to hide from "The Empire".
This is pure speculation and only rumor. But none the less... Nice and Holsome

Well we all know MJ is a guy actually but does that stop him from being Zelda??? Noooooo
Plus DoA is branching out into new and broad spectrums. Just you wait till a new DoAV comes out!
Michael Jackson will be playing Zelda in the next Zelda game. Paris Hilton will be playin as an unknown guy in the next DoA Game. And last but certinly not least, Mel Gibson will be playing as one of the greater minions of hell in the next expansion pack to Doom
