Exactly right.
If Fox news says its bad for America... It's probably good for Americans.
However this bill does not contain the public option or universal health care. It's basically a mandate that we all buy private insurance at existing rates. It does not appear to lower the current rates...
There's some good stuff in the bill such as getting rid of preexisting condition limitations etc.. but unfortunately without the public option, there will be no competition or healh care reform.
The democrats failed to do what they were elected to do, and now they're passing the dead remains of their failed efforts.
We wanted to get away from the private insurance companies, or at the very least force competition and have them lower their ridiculous rates which generate them massive amounts of profit every year.
Now... All this bill is at the heart of it... is a bill that delivers us right to those private insurance companies... who will profit even more than ever.
I'm still trying to understand IF this bill will lower existing rates. If not... then every American is going to be forced by law to pay $1,150 a month for healthcare.
Thats bizzare. I'm not sure how thats reform.
There are subsidies in the bill which will may help (time will tell)... but for those currently paying for private insurance... I'm not sure I see the reform when it comes to current rates.
"We're obviously not giving up on the US,' says Pinto."
Yeah right. You fucking traitors. Go fuck a baby, you have about as much ethics as a child rapist.
WE CANT COMPETE WITH SLAVE LABOR WAGES... So Applied Materials has decided to sell out America and sell their products back to Americans at American prices using chinese labor...
This scam has gone on long enough. Anyone doing this should be kicked out of the country and have their citizenship pissed on.
Basically Applied Materials is saying "Have fun with your mcdonalds and stupid reality shows, you're all fucking dumb... but your not dumb enough to work for slave wages just yet... so we're packing it up and moving to china where we can exploit people... and probably fuck their underage children too because we're awesome at not giving a damn about anything except the DOLLAR...
BTW... Lets not give them dollars... or euros.. or anything. Let them die. If they think they can rape us... fuck up.
Here in the US, the government makes us count our cum loads? Doesnt everyone else in the world do that?
If you miss a drop, the terrorists win!

No.. I like itunes. I enjoy it as a player/library. It has a resume feature so I can listen to all my 4 hour long Opie and Anthony shows and Ron and Fez of course... horse.
I like when he beats me... I enjoy it.
Seriously, I do think itunes is pretty good at how it manages/organizes tunes etc. I'm not a fan of the format dictatorship but... I can live with apple lossless if i cant have flac.
Well I wouldnt say thats entirely entitlement. There was once a time in this country of America, that businesses would go out of their way to make sure the customer was happy by doing things such as the poster's example.
It would be entitlement to expect anything MORE than a replacement CPU (authentic of course) + Free overnight shipping...
But it certainly would be nice if Newegg threw in something extra for their troubles. No one expects them to, but by doing so, newegg would be going out of their way to save face and earn back the respect and trust of those effected and others spectating.
Again, there's no need to expect it but such actions benefit the business failed the customer. Certainly, free overnight shipping of the cpu replacement would be at the least... expected.
A local pizza place here... throws in free stuff all the time for me. They're nice folks. Sometimes for no reason, they'll give me a couple extra stuffed garlic knots, slices etc. They've done it for no reason, and they've done it for reasons such as me waiting a while in the store for my food, or accidently forgetting an item... etc.
Businesses do go out of their way at times to be kind to teh customer. It's not as common as it once was, but when a business does so... they earn big respect points.
Treat your paying customers with respect!!!!! They're the only thing keeping you in business. Its just fucking bad and stupid to treat them like criminals with such hassles.
The suits at Ubisoft who put this DRM scheme into play should be fired.
Supposedly, Cablevision fucked up and took NBC off the air for a bit last night when they took ABC off. A few other channels were also turned off. I beleive Cablevision straightened that out though.
I wouldnt know though. Its just what i read on dslreports
I enjoy film. I enjoy film making... but I do agree it is a silly event, and ABC and Cablevision are just two rich whining babies fighting over an amount of money neither of us will ever see in our life time.
To think how many people they could help in this economy... all of the out of work people, with health insurance bills...
Instead two media giants will duke it out over nothing that really matters to real people.
Keep your ABC channels... and Fuck Cablevision. People are out of work... The oscars doesnt mean dick anyone. Its an advertisement for the best films to buy... thats all it is... But I do enjoy film so... But lets call it what it is... Its a FUCKING INFOMERCIAL.
If you really want to stop people from adblocking... then simply make ads smaller, less intrusive, less anoying, less in your face... less flash, less evil.
Its really that simple. You cant ask people to put down their defenses when the industry of ad driven material is hell bent on basically taking over your computer and your browser.
I'm sorry. The defenses stay up... until you play fair.
I initially thought the same, but your example is flawed as well...
When you test drive a car, its a full car but when you demo a game, its never the full game. Often its an early build of the game that was shown at E3, and only contained a single level or part of a single level etc.
So in your example... you're wrong because the car is a fully functioning real car. A game demo is not a full game, and it is nothing like a full game. It is already crippled.
Imagine going to test drive a car and the dealer takes you out in the car but first explains "This car is a work in progress, driving experience may change in the final car... and the headlights, speedometer, heat, AC, and interior are not in the car. Also the suspension is not included on this demo car.... Now how about that test drive?"

Great so I have SecuRom on my computer because of that peice of shit Bad Company 2 which has been FULL of bugs since its release.
And we're not talking just bugs...we're talking feature incomplete bugs... What a fucking pile of shit Bad Company 2 is.
The game is ok... but the quality in which the software was released.... is criminal.
It's as if they said "fuck it, lets just put this alpha out"
And I trip my balls off on them... Bitches
Maybe they'll have 3 eyes without all of the yucky radiation.

These two governments are equally corrupt. I hope Google has the balls to stand up against the US government as well.

i decided not to... only because after looking at the game... I dont want it anyways ;)
It really is funny how DRM causes more piracy than it does to stop it.
Just treat paying customers like HUMAN FUCKING BEINGS ALREADY. I THINK THEY'VE EARNED IT... in fact.. I think they've paid for it.
I'd gladly DL this game on a torrent out of spite.
Dont you riddle me this!

Will they put everyone who eats meat on the list?
Just a thought.
by... employing people in countries that do violate these standards. Apple, the solution is simple.. Employ more Americans.
