You can argue this to death about "interstate sales", "ebay is the auctioner not the seller" and it really doesnt matter. The government will do what it wants, when it wants because they are in power.
So be prepared to sign up for an ebay license test.
The worst thing to do is to sit here any say "ah this will never pass its stupid"
Have you taken a look at our government lately?:)
Apparently it wants more money to make up for our trillion dollar debt.

What happens to that horny guy who knows all YIM users are supposed to be 18, and yet he's chatting with someone saying they're 16? Is that person infact guilty of a crime? Or are they simply playing out a fantasy with someone prentending to be 16?
And as you say, what happens to a horny guy talking to a YIM user who is 16 in reality, lieing that she's 18...
Is Yahoo guilty? Is the guy chatting guilty? Is the girl at guilty for violating the policy? Is the guy innocent because she violated the policy? Afterall the guy could say "everyone on YIM is supposed to be 18, i thought it was someone older playing into a fantasy role"
There's lots of interesting things that this policy change will create in legal situations.
I tend to agree with this. This brings up an issue though...
If 18 years and older are only allowed... Does that mean someone chatting with a girl saying she's 16 is punishable in court? If she is on Yahoo chat, she must be atleast 18 right? Or assumed to be atleast 18 because that is the rules.
After all yahoo is no 18 and older, so should one assume that anyone lieing about their age is role playing?

But should be made? That is the question:)
I think it will be a boring film. Frankly i dont movies made based on videogames. I'd rather just have really good videogames with cinematic quality story telling.
shoot yourself in the face with your gun and get it over with.

Movies go to theaters, then to dvd release. Videogames go to straight to stores and rental. David Jaffe (GOD of War director) blogged an insightful rant about Best Buy getting into the USED game selling market.
Where you can buy used games, or rent new games for 30 days at 10 bucks a month... OR buy a new game for $50. Its an interesting self destructing process it seems.
How does he feel about gaming as a buisness, the suits now dominating what game ideas get made, the quest for copying the latest greatest... The lack of inventive risk taking...
Those things would be interesting to hear talked about by Sid, someone i respect as being in the gaming industry for a while now and having been successful at it. Best of wishes Sid.
This is why i never buy from California online. I've noticed that i get hit with tax from their stores and its insanely high.
Not to mention the distance California is from New York, which means shipping takes longer. If i want it faster, i have to pay even more money for faster shippping...
Point is.. If California wants to make money, i suggest they kill their Use Tax for online sales because its just not worth the money to order and wait for ground shipping from California while being hit with an insanely high Use Tax addon price.
I refuse to buy from California, and I've found stores on the east coast that replace my need to order from certain California shops. No Tax, cheaper, and the shipping is faster since its east coast. I suggest to California, that if they want to compete with competition, that they end their Use Tax.
They're going to be hurt by it. I'm proof that shoppers will avoid wherever that tax is, and buisnesses will MOVE their online stores to states that do not have an online sales tax.
Frankly this is all because of Bush's tax cuts. States arent getting the hand out they're used to.
You cant cut taxes and drive us into a trillion dollar debt and not expect the states to scramble for cash.
Sales tax sucks... but lets not spend our country into shitsville and be "fiscally responsible conservatives" HAHAHAHAHA What a fucking joke. Good job on electing a fraud and a senate and congress to go along with him. The GOP is raping our country and you're paying in all new kinds of ways for it:)
This is quite true. They're extremely wealthy people that look down on the poor as criminals.
Here's to hopeing for some good old fashioned American violence in the form of revolution...:)
Just dont plan it over VOIP kids;)
Using encryption software/devices should be taught in every highschool in this country as a practice to protect oneself from the government and other similar criminals:)
Willem Dafoe has been a choice for Green Goblin for a long time. Long before Spiderman was a movie idea and caught up in legal hell.
I think people would have been really upset if Willem had not played The Green Goblin:)
I dont know much about Alfred Molina's carear. But THC is all the rage lately because of his last film's success. THC is a great actor, and has been for a long time. It's only now that he is an "A" list celeb. And probably the only reason he has a chance at being in Spiderman.
I hate Steam. I beat half life 2 a while ago, but i get the urge to check out hf2, the mods etc every now and then. Unfortunately i dont want to go through the hassle of installing steam to do so. I hate that it has to redownload it, or i have to tell steam to make it a transportable install exe etc...
It's just anoying enough to keep me from giving a dam about playing half life2 again.
And frankly i dont want yet another program running in memory that does absolutely NOTHING for me as a user. Steam is a program thats running on our computers, for valves benefit. Somehow we get the short end of the stick.
Anything else is a very slippery slope into an area that will start to hinder the freedom of the internet.
:)
And its not like the government would ever hinder freedom

THAT we can be sure of.
What if i want to distribute a garbled mess disguised as their show?
Ok, so i had another joke too...

Interesting. www.ccs.com charges me tax all the time.
I guess the city makes an ass load of money off those maps? :)
congressmen, senators, and presidents most likely to cheat, steal, lie, murder, rape, harrass, bribe, flush an entire country down the toilet....
Oh and there's P2P and shoplifting... I'm sure glad those congressmen, senators, and president are on the case!
I hear Enron used P2P.
Tom Delay uses P2P
Saddam had P2P

Are the Spiderman films the "new" Batman? Are all of the villians to be played by celebrities of the moment?
With that said, i like Thomas Haden Church. Just dont want to see him as the sandman... cause its not going to be beleivable.

No doubt.
