Initiatives like Codeplex have been around for a while and I've personally participated in a few .NET open source projects. There is a vast open source community that works with Microsoft technologies. There is no conspiracy. There is no embrace and extinguish. They are being pragmatic about Open Source and promoting it where it fits instead of dogmatically pushing it wherever they can.

They've been studying an Alien fighter in the Area 51 bunker since 1947 (I assume it's the Roswell ship). So they had decades to work out the interfaces.
So... what you are trying to say is that the aliens hadn't updated their software or hardware or even installed security patches in almost 50 years? Oh come on, even our oldest jet fighters are designs from the 60s, and even those have had their electronics updated over the years.

Even if they had no enemies and therefore no reasons to upgrade their weapons systems, they would have been updated as part of planned obsolescence to move their economy.

The main problem with Windows Me was that it used many Windows 98 hardware drivers that were not designed for it. I worked in a computer repair shop at the time and we had MANY clients that would ask us to downgrade their computers from Me to 98. Many businesses would be halted to a standstill because of driver issues with everything from winmodems to network cards. Another problem was that Windows 2000 was released at the same time as Windows Me. And Windows 2000 was incredibly stable. Me was just pitiful by comparison.

You can use it to insert PHP server tags if you want. However, the purpose of this app is to make web pages, not web applications.

Using Dreamweaver's built in functionality to insert PHP snippets is not only foolish but discouraged. Using the Expression web designer to make ASP.NET apps is futile at best.
