    How the hell is this insightful?

    Chemically, yes they are the exact same thing.

    Physically, they're always present together in dynamic equilibrium. There is always a vapor pressure with liquid water, at least at the temps & pressures of clothing.

    For the record, we've dropped nuclear bombs on four countries.

    Japan, Spain, US, Greenland.

    Not all of them were on purpose, but that doesn't mean they weren't dropped.

    Remove the insecurity & you'll reduce the spambots.

    Right, because laptops never leave the office to go home, to another office, go to starbucks, etc.. most of which use DHCP.

    So performance matters, but user interface doesn't on a computer?

    Seems a bit short sighted to me.

    Sometimes user interface means that performance doesn't matter.

    Try this: On Windows, in a non-admin account, try changing your IP from a static to DHCP address. On a Mac, one click: Apple menu>Locations>DHCP
    It still boggles my mind that on simple things like this, Windows still can't get it right or easy.

    If you're doing real video, BUY A MAC WITH FIREWIRE. They didn't remove it from every machine last week, you know.

    If you're using low end DV cameras, USB will be fine.

    If this is true, why do most new DV cameras (lower end ones) have USB2? And really, are you going to buy a high end DV camera, with FW only, and a lowend laptop like the MacBook?

    I'm still screwed because my DV is firewire only, but that isn't the case as much anymore. And so I really don't see what all the stink is about. There aren't a lot of FW only devices left in the world.

    Now, TargetDiskMode is a different ball of wax. But what are the odds that Apple writes some firmware code that allows the same thing to happen via USB? Granted, it's not here today.
