My gripe is that we're supposed to have 65k+ ports.. but i am only allowed to use a couple. 53/80/443. so i have to tunnel everything. why dont we just tunnel everything on 1 port and have the server scan for public keys and open apps based on that from just 1 port. would pretty much accomplish the same thing.

Intellectual property forms the basis of the value of any software vendor. IP is confidential throughout the industry to protect competitive advantages one vendor has over another. Other industry vendors such as Microsoft and Apple do not routinely contribute their IP as vendors spend millions of dollars creating a competitive market.
SCO has confidentiality clauses in all of our contracts with more than 6,000 licensees that specifically state that this UNIX source code has to be held in confidence. If SCO published this UNIX source code, SCO itself would be in violation of these contracts.
SCO has a legal obligation to hold this source code in confidence, so it requires that individuals who view this code sign a non-disclosure in order to see it.

The article's idea is simply to make the web (at least the rss) distributed and then query the distributed server to change from 30 minutes refresh to a faster refresh. But the distributed server needs to be updated also. It may simply be cheaper / more efficient to simply run more servers.

PS2 is backwards compatible with PS .. I didnt even use it. But I suppose it's good for the "new" buyers.

I'm blocking all ports and NAT everything via router/firewall along with all the IPV4. Woo hoo .. another protocol goes to waste.
