so i guess you've never actually used itunes before because if you had you would have known that you can turn off the itunes store in the prefs. when you turn it off it no longer appears in the source column
"iTunes can't deliver that"
that's completely bogus, have you even looked at the itunes music store?
from itunes:
James Brown: 20 All Time greatest Hits! = 20 songs for $5.99 = $.30 per song
from your best deal you ever got:
Essential Clash = 40 songs for $13 = $.32 per song
there are also other good deals to be found on itunes if you bothered to look:
Best of Pixies = 23 songs for $9.99
Neil Young Greatest Hits = 16 songs for $9.90
U2: Pop = 12 songs for $6.99
NIN: downward spiral deluxe edition = 27 songs for $11.99
that's because the photographer is hired for a specific job and most (if not all) photographers have contracts that state that the image taken is own by them. this programmer was employed by a company - not hired for a specific job - therefore the employer owns all the programmers work while that programmer was employed.
there's a big difference there
yeah, and i loved record stores until my entire CD collection got so completely scratched up they won't play anymore.
i thought, well, i'll just go back to the record stores where i bought them and ask for replacement CDs.
well, i was wrong, they wouldn't give me free replacement CDs and i haven't "bought" a CD from a record store since.
am i the only one that for the most part lives my life google free? i honestly don't think i know anyone where google has become an integral part of their lives. every once in a while i'll use google maps but i have my own domain with all the email storage space i want and i always get better search results from yahoo.
i'm sorry but i just don't see, at least right now anyway, why google would be an integral part of anyone's lives.
"but a Mac cannot achieve a lot of what is needed in corporate environments"
it's amazing how many/.'s have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they are talking about.
i found this on some site, it's apparently the email sony sends you with instructions on how to put the music on your iPod:
this is for the ipod complaints
the offical directions to get it on your iPod
Thank you for contacting us, ##CENSORED##. We appreciate your purchase of the Foo Fighters CD and are happy to assist you with the music transfer..
Please follow the instructions below in order to move your content into iTunes and onto an iPod:
If you have a Mac computer you can copy the songs using your iTunes Player as you would normally do.
If you have a PC place the CD into your computer and allow the CD to automatically start. If the CD does not automatically start, open your Windows Explorer, locate the drive letter for your CD drive and double-click on the LaunchCD.exe file located on your CD.
Once the application has been launched and the End User License Agreement has been accepted, you can click the Copy Songs button on the top menu.
Follow the instructions to copy the secure Windows Media Files (WMA) to your PC. Make a note of where you are copying the songs to, you will need to get to these secure Windows Media Files in the next steps.
Once the WMA files are on your PC you can open and listen to the songs with Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher. You may also play them in any compatible player that can play secure Windows Media files, such as MusicMatch, RealPlayer, and Winamp, but it will require that you obtain a license to do so. To obtain this license, from the Welcome Screen of the user interface, click on the link below the album art that says If your music does not play in your preferred player, click here. Follow the instructions to download the alternate license.
Using Windows Media Player only, you can then burn the songs to a CD. Please note that in order to burn the files, you need to upgrade to or already have Windows Media Player 9 or greater.
Once the CD has been burned, place the copied CD back into your computer and open iTunes. iTunes can now rip the songs as you would a normal CD.
This summer, I plan to upgrade my pc from 256 to 768 MBram, and to a 120-160gb 7200rpm from the stock 60 gig 5400, I would love to do this kind of thing to my Mac but I cant get a mid tower foer under 1500, that sucks
mac desktops have been upgradeable for a long long time. i've replaced my original g4 processor with a 3rd party g4 processor, loaded up with RAM, added a scsi card, added a usb2/firewire800 card, added a new video card, replaced the dvd rom with a superdrive and replaced the original HD as well as added 3 other hard drives......
so yeah, since when have macs been upgradeable?
what irony? is the irony the fact that you are trying to throw a jab at apple with false information making you look like the idiot?
apple DID NOT STEAL the gui from xerox. instead of just believing the FUD you read in forums try actually doing some research. Apple licensed the gui from xerox.
because OS X's spotlight searches INSIDE of files and meta tags. it can search inside email messages (not just search but subject or sender) and can search inside of word docs, pdfs, mp3s, etc etc. current search tools in only search file names/types/dates. Mac OS X Tiger indexes every file on the hard drive so search results will be instantaneous as you type.
read about spotlight here to see why it is a big deal vs. current search tools:

considering that adobe will now have absolutely no competition for the graphics market they will be able to charge whatever the hell they want for the software.... and on top of that, without direct competition (and microsoft is not competition in the graphics field) innovation and development will suffer greatly.

there isn't a classic OS 9 cd, the installer for classic is on the OS X installer CD.

i don't have front row but yes they do integrate with it. Jobs showed a demonstration of it in his announcement of the video store and front row.
no. iTMS doesn't sell mp3s. they sell AAC also known as MP4

isn't it a Fox in Sheep clothing?
Long live Sex over IP

it's Cablevision not Cable Vision.

if we learned one thing form The Jetson's it's that robots make great housekeepers.
also, there's no way you can build a PC at half the price of a mac mini with software comparable to imovie, idvd, and garageband
yeah but by the time you pay for windows XP, antivirus software, firewall, and anitspyware software your computer costs MORE then a mac mini.

Death From Above 1979 KICKS SERIOUS ASS!
it's more like: Adobe produces ImageReady .. Macromedia produces Fireworks.
BUT ImageReady comes with photoshop
