There's an officially recognized and endorsed "mozilla-qt" subproject, in fact, although it's been dead in the water for a while, AFAIK. Why don't you contribute to it and help it get going again?
I think it's more that emulating a CPU on another CPU with fewer registers is a less appealing prospect to the average coder then being flogged in the blistering sun for a week straight with barbed wire.
That can and will be cracked, as the key isn't just the connectivity, it's creating a mode of play that requires dynamic data (like a server list) from the authentication server to be entertaining.
Are your experiences with GIMP 1.2? If so, I would guess the monolingual text input was a weakness of GTK1, not X11; I've heard people mention the former has poor internationalization support.
I know for sure I have absolutely no trouble writing Japanese text in GIMP 2.0 on my XFree86 / Linux system.
First of all, the open-source Radeon drivers only support the r100 and r200 chipsets, both ancient by gamer standards.
Second, have you ever tried them? the r100 driver is decent enough, but r200 (and also the official, closed-source ATI drivers, for that matter) are atrocious. A good portion of games are not playable at all, and the remainder suffer from severe graphics glitches or slowdown.
There's a place near where I live called "Black Pearl". Its advertised business is as a specialty tea & smoothie bar, but the hit attraction seems to be nice couches, a big TV and speakers, and an X-Box with Halo. When I drop in, I regularily see a crowd of 5-10 teenagers of both genders watching each other play.
Admittantly, teenagers are a sight different from 20-30-somethings, but I'd see no problem calling that place a lounge. Maybe I'm biased, still being a member of the former group for a few months yet.:)
Interesting idea. But are you sure it isn't likely to work in reverse, with you paying $4 for obscure tracks because you can't easily go elsewhere for them, while common pop addicts with choice will get the better deals?
Right back at ya: Hopefully, I won't accidentally type my root password in here because my mouse wandered over from the Terminal window to the Mozilla window before entering it.
I agree, though, an option to choose between both (like most free *NIX DEs offer) is best.
IIRC, they can (using a hack that would make assembly programmers faint in horror, as usual) but no one process can use more then 4 gigs. Anyone know if this limit applies to different threads owned by the same process?
Here's some text copied from Thedalek's post further up (give him any karma):
"A few relevant issues: Since the recent DMCA exemptions created by the Library of Congress, Nintendo's claim that "You're not allowed to play roms you own," is only valid for the GBA, since the Gameboy and Gameboy Color are both legally considered obsolete."
I would think this applies to your NES and SNES games as well.
The Game Gear was based on the older Master System, not a Genesis. I don't know what processor it used offhand (Z80 I think?), but it was a pretty damn slow one. Outlook not so good.
Wonderful? I've been hearing some really unkind words about UT2004's OpenGL renderer, in either OS.
They do- in Europe. Also, Greasecar is a quick and effective way to murder your engine.

Wild guess: 5135?

I think the parent may have been in reference to this web site.
Then why is shareware cracking so prevalent? Registration fees are rarely priced as high as retail software.

I ordered one of those Heisenburgers once, but it disappeared when I tried to take the first bite.
Off-topic, but amusing: I hear the real General Tso's most famous victory was won when the enemy army contracted a plague of dysentary.

Even if you don't live in the state of, shall we say, bentness it takes to appreciate Merzbow, it is handy for driving away unwanted houseguests.

If you want polished, why not play the "BS Zelda" version for SNES?
Show me this mysterious PocketPC that supports 4 gigabytes of memory and can be had (with the memory) for only $249, please.
Have you given rhythmbox a try?

You haven't gotten far enough to experience the thrills of nurse or succubus dancing, have you?
Addendum: Support for gay and lesbian demonic unions in Nethack!

e.g. writing all zeroes to one partition, all ones to the other, then verifying both of them.
Until then, I'll concur with the posters who suggest it's just a way of badly corrupting the partition table.
Buy Canon.
I don't know how good their Linux support is, though. My most recent printer of theirs was Mac only and I haven't needed a new one.
