  1. A thought on Quick Fixes For Those Pining For A 6-foot Cabinet · · Score: 4, Interesting

If one downloads old arcade games which aren't really distributed by the manufacturer anymore, who are you hurting by using them? Sure, it's a copyright violation, but is it really hurting the distributor, since they aren't even trying to make money off of it? Copyrights are to protect innovation, but is there a point when the innovation should be freed for everyone to be...innovated by?

As of late, it seems 'free' is being removed from 'free software'. What do we have, mySQL, X...They're both being contested as free software/GPL-compatible. Now Mozilla is being bitch over some pretty pictures? Honestly.

Does he seem to care about being accepted, or are you just seeing this and thinking 'Gee, that kid isn't popular. Doesn't this blow?'. I mean, I don't give half of a shit if people like me or not. I don't need to go to parties every friday night and get distracted from my projects.

But if you want some social skills, try some internet communities, or a hobby game thing, like Warhammer 40k. Going to the store for games with their fancy tables and terrain, huge online communities etc etc.

After reading ths, you do start to think what would happen if someone big like CNN or MSNBC ran a story on the FBI not bothering with a bunch of kids who seem to be more dangerous then Al Queda. Honestly, do you expect another 5 or 6 terrorist attacks tomorrow? What about 5 or 6 people cracking into servers, messing with corperations, DoSing government servers...

  18. Disagreement on New Battlestar Galactica - Worth a Series? · · Score: 1

I disagree with the author. I think this movie was so bad it was actually painful. The effects were good, I'll give them that. But during the first 30 minutes of the first part, they must of had 13 different story bits run. If you had to go take a leak, you would miss three or for important things. It also revisits one of the most worn-out plots I have ever seen - The whole 'humanity is about to become extinct' thing.
