Although i completely agree with your post, your history is slightly flawed.

The first democracy was founded in Greece in 500 BC by Cleisthenes.

And as for a democracy with modern influence, try Rome, and the Roman empire? Rome largely shaped what was to come many different cultures, and had a great influence in the theatrical, physical, artistic, and philosophical sciences, and if Rome would have never come to power and influence., our world as we know it now would never had existed.

Number one is complete utter bullshit. How unlike (the usually great reporting of) PC world to pick on the 3 ton giant that is so popular in the news. Its a great idea. Almost everybody uses it ages 16-21, and many use it 21-30. Its a great place to meet new friends (im talking about maybe reuniting with your long lost friends, or maybe meeting a friend of a friend, or someone at school. Not a stalker/child abducter, So dont even bring it up.), and its a EXTREMELY great way for new artists to get recognized. it seems to be the indie hotspot on the web today. So what if it causes a few web browser hangs? Maybe if your "computer science" department knew what it was doing, it would use a STABLE browser, such as Firefox. I've been a user for myspace long before it was fameous, and ever since i started using firefox i havent gotten one browser hang. Maybe why you hate myspace so much is because of how popular it is. It brings mainstream people (your jocks, frat boys, cheerleaders, etc) farther into the world wide web (which was once considered a sacred place for computer geeks) then ever before. And just so you know, that "festering cyst" brings in millions of dollars for up-and-coming bands. that reason alone should keep it off #1 on the worst web list. OBVIOUSLY PC World did not do its research in this article.

I love the fact that these guys didnt let a little thing like a federal law stop them from inventing a solution that can help millions of people worldwide. They deserve a big kudos.

IP Laws that stifile scientific progress and humanitarian advances? Naw, never!

Why do we have to live in a country where intellectual property and B.S. politics are put before scientific research and advancement?

And lets get one thing clear for the morons. he wasnt heading up a big-brother campaign, he NEVER was a part of HUAC, and he tried his hardest to keep his findings private, until he was FORCED to in congress, by liberal senators.

am i the only one out there who doesnt go along with liberalist propaganda?
