"but by the end of 2007, all Burlington residents will be able to pay just one bill each month for their home phone service, broadband Internet connection and cable television channels. And they won't be making the check out to Verizon, or Adelphia.'"
Here in Washington DC, I have had this since I moved into my house in 2003. We get cable, phone and Cable modem from Starpower (now RCN). Not a bad setup at all....
"No news on open sourcing the client, but they're making a start."
Man you people are ungrateful! They make you a version, and it's a free download!!!!! You can't have everything 100% open sourced - and to appear so nasty simply turns people and buisnesses away from Linux.
"I haven't seen any sort of consumer research, but I imagine people don't like to have their number of possible network connections restrained by the host operating system."
I disagree entirely. The lack of sales has to do with the market's prefrence of Window XP: Pirate Edition - aka XP ARRRRG. Can't beat the price in developing markets:)
Because in a corprate network setup - no one is updating a master image then pushing that clone over the top of the existing systems. You can go around reformatting user's desktops once a week like you can with a lab rig...!
I live in DC, and really can't make myself get worked up oever this. Do you really want 15 year olds to buy M rated games? Any reputible chain stores already have rules in place preventing this. There aren't hardly any mom and pop type video game stores in the city anyway - it's too expensive. Sure you can go get a game from a pawn shop - but you will never be able to prevent that anyway - usually the pawn owners don't speak english here anyway.
If you want to get all riled up on something on behalf of the District, how about the fact that we *have no voting representation in Congress*. Poll after poll shows that the majority of americans dosen't know this. We pay taxes to the government just like anyone else, yet can't set our own budget, or have numerous other rights that ever other city in the country takes for granted.
You want to pacify them? Trade them beads and trinkets! I heard they go for that kind of stuff... Throw in a case of Crazy Horse malt liqor and your set!
Get some new cases cheap - if they are standard atx type stuff, then go online and find some decent cases with good ventalation. If they are proprietary, ebay is your friend. Clean the logic boards as best you can with rubbing alcohol as posted above.
Great user name for the submitter. I guess Dirty Sanchez was already taken? Way to get over on slashdot...
Not a bad DS game at all - but I think the system itself is limited by the gimmicky nature of the two screen system.
Because no one is actually going to *call* a Linux geek :)
I would so give a +1 funny if I had mod points :)

I am wondering, not to troll, but what kinds of uses does Solaris still find itself filling?

Yeah, I've never had to recompile Mac kernels either....
What you really don't want to know, is that not only is she not foxy, she's not a lady either!
All the patents go to the guys with the weakest online system.
thank you thank you, I'm here all week.
Worst thing I've ever seen. To me to be on the list - you have to be a movie from a major studio that has has an actor someone has heard of before.
How about Felch the Copyright Weasel? http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Fel ch
or better... "I'm Rick James, bitch!!!"
Not nearly as bad as the requirements for Longhorn!
