learning. It is truly a sad reflection on the educational system, which everyone is compelled to attend thru high school, that only 76% knew that we declared independence from GB and even less (58%) knew it was 1776. The reaction to the NPR tweet of the declaration of independence on the 4th just defines the american education system. We are toast.

  14. You are correct you don't know anything about wood. Please stay out of building. I barely build anything, just shelves for the garage and other stuff every few years and I knew this. 20. We need to reduce us. We have overpopulated the earth. We need the third world to be more like the first world somehow, where it costs to have more kids instead of more kids is better. I don't know how we would achieve this, but without less of us, the world is likely to go to war over less resources per person. China used a pretty draconian method to get started down that path and the net result (no way to know if less kids was why) was a growing middle class.

I'd also add while not as pricey as the bay area, it is pricey for texas. And because the way the state does education funding, and because austin is pricey, the prop tax equation says we pay for a good chunk of the whole state's education bill, which makes the expensive housing even more expensive. I checked out houston and a place bigger than mine (1.3X) was 1/2 the price. And because the state hates austin, it tweaks with us whenever it can(like the education prop tax). We are the black sheep of texas and the legislature hits us wherever it can.

Do not underestimate the power of the prez. He alone is the ONLY person in the US who cannot be indicted on any federal crime while prez. Further, it is a matter of debate if he can be indicted on any state level crime. So it is possible that the US Supreme court could rule even if Donald shot and killed someone on 5th avenue he may not be able to be indicted. It is a matter of scholarly debate as to how the Supreme's would rule. It has never been tested. Further, I believe if congress does not extend the special prosecutor law, Donald can fire Mueller from investigating him. The constitution is very specific, the executive branch is a unitarian form of entity with the president solely and completely in charge. So if congress does not properly oversee and impeach bad behavior, the prez can do alot. If he doesn't like a law, don't enforce it. If he wants something reallocate funds. Frankly we are at a juncture in the US I fear, and how a republican congress acts may well change the course of history. And no I don't think I am being over dramatic.
