BFD! If google believes it needs to take a stand then all the power to them. Just because some government agency wants information doesn't mean they are entitled to it, and there proof is in the suponmea. If the DOJ can't get a Subpoena than they don't need that information. AOL, MSN, and Yahoo are just plane old spineless worms who can't or won't stand up for there rights and the rights of there customers.
Red Flag frequently collaborates with other Linux distributors in the region, like Korea's Haansoft and Japan's Miracle Linux."
Actually, no. Red Flag is a trinity member of Asianux http://www.asianux.com/about_us.php which develops (co-develops) the software these companies use.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_miningData mining has been defined as "The nontrivial extraction of implicit, previously unknown, and potentially useful information from data"
After a quick search I am surprise that this is the only post that brought the subject of Data mining.
As far as I am concerned if they are in the business of making money they probably can't be trusted.
I once subscribed to a national magazine, to remained unnamed, that had a disclaimer at the bottom of there subscription form stating that all data supplied would be kept confidential. Out of curiosity I supplied a fictitious middle initial with my name. It didn't take long before I started to receive junk mail with that very obvious marker showing up.
Needless to say, the letter I wrote the magazine wasn't very nice and to this day I still occasionally employ that trick that to maintain honesty.
No, actually I believe it's even worse that what you believe. IMHO this may be a ploy by these companies to get there hooks into Linux and FOSS. After a few years of supporting these new drivers they may try to leverage Linux's now dependence on them for profit.
They don't even give a nod to greatest-trek-of-all-time DS9, so I don't know about this list
the article says:
Number 5
'Babylon 5'
'Babylon 5' is arguably one of the best sci-fi shows ever made. Some may compare it to 'Star Trek DS-9' but with a better plot and cast - you be the judge. In the meantime, we'll give 'Babylon 5'; a thumbs up showing in the No. 5 spot.
Lot and lots of good points in this article but a sloppy presentation. It appears that the standard deviation of this piece is probably quite wide. Maybe if the author knew he was going to be presented on Slashdot he would have taken more care in his work.
You need the advice of a solictor(sic). Especially if he is withholding pay, and damaging your reputation.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (http://www.eeoc.gov/) keeps a list of employment lawyers in your local area.
Many states require the company to pay for accrued vacation time. If so, it is indeed illegal.
Very true. I quit over vacation pay withheld, I took it to the state and collected my vacation pay and unemployment.
Your boss can't hold back your paycheck, it's against the law! Being treated like scum is against the law too.
I have a web page with some links.

Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself.
One person can't fight back for a $1,000 since it would cost more than that...
$1000 would allow action to be taken against the perpetrators in small claims court where only a subpoena needs to be served and criminal intent doesn't need to be proven.
You need to certify the class, then go to court to fight the 'bad guys.'
If and when a small number of individuals win in small claims court it may set the groundwork for a precedent to be set

No accounting for taste.

You think?
What will you do if the people you knew
Were the plastic that melted,
And the chromium too?
Who are the brain police?

Why is it a Beta 1? Are Microsoft programmers so inept that the company is afraid that they will cause wholesale corruption of the product?
Yea, right. When has Microsoft done otherwise?
