Vice City wasn't the first GTA to have some recognizable voice talent. Here are the top names from GTA III:
Frank Vincent....Don Salvatore Leone (voice)
Joe Pantoliano....Luigi Goterelli (voice)
Michael Madsen....Toni Cipriani (voice)
Michael Rapaport....Joey Leone (voice)
Debi Mazar....Maria (voice)
Kyle MacLachlan....Donald Love (voice)

I wonder if this might have been the "big news" Sega was supposed to reveal at E3 last week? Maybe the deal wasn't close enough to being done at that point to speak about it.
It would've been much bigger than their news about The Matrix Online or Phantasy Star Universe.
Sure. Different airports ban different things. On a recent trip from Seoul to Tokyo, I had a pack of Duracell AA batteries confiscated by security at Gimpo airport in Seoul. Not rechargables or anything special like that, just plain alkaline AAs, still in the package.
However, when I was leaving Japan I noticed security at Haneda had no such rules. In fact, you could buy both alkaline and lithium batteries at the shops beyond the security checkpoint there.
I've yet to get an explanation for why plain batteries are considered a security risk.
"This cultural disconnect in the States is why you see things like a row full of nine year olds sitting in a theater watching Terrance and Phillip sing songs about how the other likes to anally rape his uncle."
Now, now. They only sang about how they like to "fuck" their uncles. Rape isn't mentioned at all in the song. How do you know the uncles in question haven't consented? =o)
It doesn't seem to be shaping up to be one, according to some of the big guys in the industry.

What's more, Sony's decision to put out a machine that plays movies as well as games has some creators scratching their heads.
"Will it be a game machine or a video Walkman?" asks Michihiro Sasaki, general manager of corporate strategy at Japanese video-game maker Square Enix Co. "We're still not sure what Sony wants to do with it -- that's a problem."
Mr. Sasaki says Square Enix, known for its Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games, eventually hopes to provide content for the PSP but wants to hear more about the PSP's business model before deciding what to prepare.
Still, some game developers worry that it may be hard to balance competing technical demands -- as well as figure out the price and audience -- for a gadget that combines the functions of a Walkman, video player and game machine.
"It would be better if [the PSP] were just a game machine," says Kazumi Kitaue, executive in charge of video games at Konami Corp., which puts out the popular Metal Gear Solid series. "It's silly to talk about watching movies anywhere anytime; you want to concentrate."
Mr. Kitaue says that Konami has started developing games for the PSP and that he has high hopes for the machine. But he worries that the product release could be delayed in Japan -- as it was in the U.S.
I don't think Nintendo's all that worried about the PSP.
I know a lot of gamers have to have all the newest titles right when they come out, but if you're not just totally itching to play a new game, why not wait a while? There are plenty of games I'd like to play, but am not willing to pay $50 for. Wait for the price to drop or the title to get a "greatest hits" release.
You can save plenty that way. For example, I just picked up Wave Race: Blue Storm for Gamecube in Akihabara today for 500 yen - for a new copy. I'd never have paid $50 for it, but I'll buy just about anything for $5-10.
Holding off on the "iffy" purchases makes it a lot easier on the wallet to pick up the occasional "gotta have it" game at $50.
It's been verified by multiple users on the Apple support forums that all the iBook G4s support 1GB SO-DIMMs. Apple doesn't publicize that fact though.
Yorda was a pathetic character, useless in every possible way. Just when you start getting up to a good jog, she slows you down by jerking on your arm. I swore if she did that again I'd find a way to yank hers out of its socket and club her to death with it.
"The trick is, you wait for the inevitable crack program, then attempt to prevent people from distributing it."
The thing is, there's been a workaround to strip FairPlay ever since Apple started using it. Apple distributes the software to do this on every new Mac - iTunes and iMovie.
"Apple's going to go after the people who made this tool"
And what will they do about people using Apple's software to do exactly the same thing?
"In Soviet Russia imagine a beowulf cluster of insenstive clods who don't RTFA because they're using linux to beat the GNAA to the first post."

(Then again, I'm curious to see how twisted they'd get with those....)

Most Expensive - Wal-Mart $1,231.76
That's a difference of $97.25. I'd say that counts as "almost $100."
Taking a page from Nintendo's book?
Chiss Clawcraft
An irresistable force.

Just like Apple! ;o)
The eMac has Firewire 400, not 800.

"rocket sugeon?" Is that anything like an "in-flight missle repair technician?"
F-Zero GX just came out for the Gamecube last fall. Is that not "next gen" enough?
You mean you haven't been stocking up on Dahler Mendi CDs?

I want to hear the sound for myself! (Preferably without having to visit one of the trains in person.)
But then again, I guess that title works too, huh?"
You're thinking of the version for Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball
Great, except that Lucas didn't stick the accent on him. The actor - who is black - came up with the voice. Not Lucas.

But that's the franchise that introduced the world to "blast processing!"
