  1. Re:Why would I buy... on Movie Burning Kiosks Coming To Retailers · · Score: 1

Sure if the price is right.

Not sure why everyone says the production and marketing costs for DVD are alot.

Someone is printing and selling the DVDs of very old shows at 7-11 for $1.00. I see the box of them empty and refill quite often. (alot more often than the rack of $25.oo new releases, in fact) It would seem the expense is not the physical but IP part :( Add another buck for prettier packaging and stuff then the physical part is $2.00. I doubt it would work as well if it wasn't such an impulse item, i think a wait would even kill em at that price tho!

Anyways, i doubt they would make it cheap enough to be interesting :(

Anyway, those numbers from TFA do seem a bit odd. Could the modem or something be losing half the data? ROuter on ISP side doing it? Could there be something like this messing it up at both speeds? 50% packet loss?

Even easier, after a compnay spends $1,000,000 on graphic artists you don't suppose they may try to argue for artistic merit ;)

Really it sounds like a mess to try and interpet the umm definition used. I vote with the Brit, there might be some value in simply enforcing ratings (if one forces the movie companies to go along also of course)

How about a litter tax for the state of WA.....that doesn't apply to McDonalds!?! WTF, none of the litter here comes from fast food joints ?!? They slipped that exemption thru a few years ago, never heard of it til i looked something up after they demanded we pay it. (we sell Ensure = food exemption for sales tax = groceries = litter tax applied to half our sales (or manually calculate correctly which would cost more than paying it)

but hey we have no income tax, but still collect more taxes than most states with em :( Wouldn't be so bad if there weren't exemptions for most big businesses, etc.
