WELL! The discussions of the game get really heated "Camper" "No I wasn't, I had no health" "Yes you did, bloody camper" "No I didn't" "My mouse was playing up" "LAGGG" and are quite serious.
He may do, but he is correct, isn't he, in this instance! It has to be be free as it always has been. Nobody owns the Internet, and nobody should own it.
2. Was it a hope for IBM et al to buy them out and save a failing Company?
3. Did M$ really engineer all this anyway?
Whatever, but the last point is can a court, on whatever decision is reached now, actually stem the tide against this sort of action by large $$$$/££££ in the bank Companies deliberately trying to destroy a free (and perhaps better system), against an otherwise 'couldn't care less to who uses my code' attitude open source movement in the courts?
IBM has money to oppose. What if they didn't and couldn't fight back for OSS? Who could fight the monopolies then?
The next fight is these silly patents. I think that will be BIG trouble for all free people, let allow coders.
... is/was the best IRC client for windows ever - do whatever you need in it. Still closed source, mind... but good closed source - whatever I mean by that.
I am in Pompey, England. I regularly deal with people in Montreal CA and East Hartford USA - big problem - with my English accent and the speed I speak, they just can't understand me - no matter how I try to speak.
Too true - when the hardware support at my firm (UK) moved to Sri Lanka, everybody was advised to use the phonetic alphabet when making helpdesk calls - it really it a mess with these of-shore support desks for communication.
Terrorists also can cause a lot of damage, as most of the western world is now so reliant on networks/networking (Banking, ATM, news etc. etc.). I wondered a long time ago how soon it will be when the transatlantic cables are targets.
... all he has done is run an alogrithm that predicts 3,000,000,000 WinXP machines are all due BSOD at the same time, as opposed to the normal 'out of sync' crashes.
I mean, like the Planets, they all have to line up sometime.
I have always said this, and it must surely hold bane to why M$ really, dearly protect their source so much - why re-invent the wheel when it's been done on GPL.
Every Sunday I fire up my Quake2 Xatrix server to play with friends that live local.
:D
Afterwards we all meet in a local boozer ( The boozer (be warned - real shitty web site design)

Great fun
I am not religious, but fucking hell what is going on with these patents law people who grant them??
on-line web 'browsers' - I TYPED servers, honest.
"If you have two popular operating systems, both will get attacked -- whatever is popular is going to be attacked," he said.
Huh? Apache httpd gets attacked even though it has the market share of on-line web browsers... fortunately the attacks are looking for M$ IIS holes...
Is yer friend. Who needs a book to find it all?
But the Star Wars kid movie hacks was quiet something - amazing actually.

Standards need to be kept open.
What's that got to do with the price of beer?

I must admit, loathe them or love them, but one thing M$ did get right is the mice. They are perfect, the quality excellent, and imitations are poor.
pompeyspeakcomments
Pompey is very similar to cockney - in fact, people often mistake a true pomponian accent for an East London one.

Spend like 10 minutes explaining who you are.
Will she have to grow a beard now?
But first surely we need to fight corruption 'off-line' first. Just ask Bush and Bliar.
M$ announce XP SP2 fixed it - the most secure and stable OS ever known! Praise be!
