As a PalmOs developer (my software mays for my college), I tell you that you have no idea what you're talking about. The API is very clear and to the point, and unlike Windows if you want a TextField, you call Fld*, if you want to deal with a form you call Frm*. You call that complicated? And I don't know what application you were writing, but I claim it is doable and in an elegant way if instead of complaining you took the time to read the damn docs!

This kind of thinking brought us slavery (people said this about blacks), Guantanamo (people said this about terrorists), and religious war (people said this about all other religions).

On another note, surely you do not expect this setup to be secure. Why not implant a gps tracker in your kids, and a device to electrify them when they try to leave the house, spend 4 hours interrogating every one of their new friends, and continue in this fashion. This will get you a few things accomplished:

*They will get around all this crap
    *They will genuinely hate you
*They will not listen to you (and thus learn nothing actually useful about life)
*They will be as dumb as you about raising kids

Well many many years ago, when people were not so busy being entertained 24/7 they also would have complained about it, would have wanted to know the truth, would have done their own research, etc... In today's america they don't really care at all. As long as they get their football on their TV and their burgers in their McDonalds, there will be a smile on their face and vacuum in their heads.

Yars ago people went to Lincoln-Douglas debates and sat there for hours, and enjoyed it. Today people's attention spans are so short and amount of care for future so little that televised debates have to be made into something like a gameshow for people to want to watch them.

It might not be too late for the rest of the world to wake up, and save themselves, but America is already lost. We have our soma(Surely someone has read "A Brave New World"), and we're very happy with it.
