Robots could clean windows on high rise buildings as well. But I haven't seen any. Window washing on a high rise isn't necessarily a low skill, low cost* operation either. So it would stand to reason that we'd see this function automated sooner.

*You might actually pay your washers minimum wage. But it's dangerous as f* and insurance rates alone (workers comp.) make this sort of job costly.

    And that's bad because?

If someone with a lot of wealth or a high income wants to live a middle class life (Warren Buffett comes to mind), then the rest of his money is being reinvested. This is good for the economy. In fact, it's better than handing the money to the government and having them make questionable allocation decisions.

I can recall numerous preliminary development meetings where the artsy folk would spend hours fiddling with fonts and colors. And I'd trigger a round of hissy-fits when, at the end of the meeting, I'd tell them that it didn't really matter since the users would just go into ~/.Xresources and change them all anyway.

I think this was the point when they all went over to the Microsoft camp.

Right now, we don't have a very good idea of the exact composition of Earth's core. If this asteroid is a chunk of planetary core, a few tests and samples could tel us quite a lot about how our own planet works. This includes data related to planetary magnetic field generation, radioactive decay heat production, etc. This sort of data can tell us a lot about things like why Mars is dead while the Earth supports life. And we can extend this knowledge to assist in the search for life-supporting planets elsewhere.
