    This.

Autism may lead to a certain level of social 'clumsiness'. And the subsequent behavior might be misread by some women. But by and large, autism is being used as an excuse for being an asshole. And some guys just figure they can get their way on the job by being assholes. These guys do it to other men as well as women, but men know how to deal with it as a part of their upbringing.

  3. A couple of things: TFS appears to address audio recordings. The law in many states treats these differently from video. You have a right not to be audio recorded, but if you are in public (or perhaps an area open to observation by third parties) you can be photographed.

Many employers have policies that make the recordings made on the premises the property of the company. This may not apply in publicly accessible areas, where anyone can whip out a phone and snap a selfie in front of the produce. But get called into the bosses office and they own that recording. So go ahead and make it. But if you get into a dispute and expect to use it as evidence there may be problems with ownership. That's not a perfect defense, because in a court case you could subpoena evidence that you needed. And you are a step ahead, since you know that the recording was made, you know exactly what to ask for.

In exchange for naming the FBI(for example) as a cooperating agency,

Local law enforcement doesn't get along with the feds very well. The locals call the FBI a bunch of clowns behind their back. And yet, the FBI/DoJ ends up exposing quite a few local LE screw-ups and bad behavior. The FBI is called in only when policy defines a crime as being under federal jurisdiction (like bank robberies). Otherwise, the feds don't get called. The money was a method by which the FBI 'bought' local cooperation and loyalty. And now that this is gone, the bad feelings will surface. And all the local police chiefs will go back to their 'Bull Connor' philosophies of beating down the undesirables and looking the other way when the powerful commit crimes.

And if the IRS did concentrate on the drugs, weapons, and contraband,

Then they wouldn't be the IRS. They'd be a federal law enforcement agency that could prioritize their investigations to go after serious crimes. And they wouldn't be little fiefdoms, stepping on each other's toes with one group going after drugs, another after weapons, money, terrorism, etc.

    ... how many FBI investigations?

It's possible that the FBI already knew who Ulbricht was. Or just didn't care, preferring to pursue the criminal groups using Silk Road rather than bringing the system down. But the IRS philosophy is to chase nickels in front of a steam roller. To them, the crime is the money. Not the drugs, weapons and other contraband being exchanged.

This is why many many law enforcement officials don't like sharing information with the IRS. Tip a terrorist off that he's being watched because he forgot to report some income and he goes underground.
