    Why would you want something that is not permanent?

    I know a porn star who has some prominent tattoos that are not permanent (possibly Henna that she has re-inked). They are her trademark, but also an exit strategy from the porn biz. Retire, take a vacation to let the ink fade. Then she can go out in public as the woman who looks like that porn star, but without the tats.

    gtkclient->ssh->intertubes->ssh->gtkapp

    Which means that I have to install/maintain a gtkapp on ever desktop that needs to access gtkclient. No thanks. In a corporate environment, that could be thousands of desktops.

    This is the sort of architecture that only Microsoft could love, with per-seat licenses for each user.

    With X, it is: Xclient->network->Xserver

    And Xserver is available on numerous OSs, so there's no desktop lockin.

    Black holes that small would be hard to see. And if created by advanced civilizations with LHC-sized accelerators, very rare. And then these black holes would evaporate via Hawking radiation quite rapidly (on astronomical time scales).

    Here's an alternative implementation.

    Cop says: "My reader's battey died and is charging in my patrol car. Give me your phone and I'll carry it back to read it."

    Added benefit: Cop has your phone/camera now so you can't record the subsequent beating.

    Right now I can opt out of any identification requirements by simply not engaging in activities that require it. Don't want a drivers license? Don't drive. This will not be the case if any form of ID is created solely for the purpose of identifying individuals. Then you won't be able to 'opt out'. It will be a short step to requiring identification be carried at all times.

    Or perhaps one can train their brain to work around a neurological deficit. You understand what your shortcomings are and develop strategies for dealing with them.

    The printNumber function is repeatedly called until the base case is reached. Then the deepest called instance returns first (when n<0), reaching the Print statement and returning. As each call to printNumber is popped off the stack, the parent function output value is printed.
