I just hope Chavez says he likes open source like Castro and then Stallman can prove he's ok really because free software is more important than free people.
I reckon the basic on the Dragon/TRS-80 came second to the BBC Model 2. It had subroutines and was written by Microsoft, I believe. But don't hold that against it.
Much as I like open source software and all, it's a shame that Stallman decided that the ends justifies the means and has reached out to oppressive regimes to push his free software agenda.
And I realise you're that this will be a case of Godwin's law, but would he have pushed free software to Nazi Germany? And yes, I realise this is very hypothetical.
There are a lot of enhancements to Excel that make it of interest to financial institutions, such as being to spread the calculation of financial products modelling spreadsheets across several back-end servers, and the work flow tools that can be used to keep an audit trail of spreadsheet changes.
There was a lengthy article in the Economist magazine about how oil isn't running out. As technology improves, new oil reserves (such as the sand ones in Canada come on line).
..but it will always be the consumer that pays. You don't think manufacturers will just let any government levy come out of their profit margins, do you?
Er, except weapons of mass destruction were found (nerve gas shell used in attempted bomb - ring any bells?) as well as evidence of chemical and biological weapons. Stockpiles of chemical weapons weren't found, that's all.
Just a small point - DDT wasn't found to be more dangerous than it was worth. Due to it's global ban, millions more people in the third world die of malaria than were ever at risk from DDT. You need a better example.
That's not true at all. The world is much more at risk from a Dalek invasion than it ever was in the 70's, due to the various ramps and lifts installed for people in wheelchairs. It's political correctness gone mad.
Heston Blumenthal, the improbably named chef of the two-Michelin-star rated Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, England. He has a show on the Discovery Channel in the UK called Kitchen Chemistry where he discusses "the science behind cooking and how it affects the way that we perceive taste and flavour."
I've only eaten at his brasserie, but the food was superb. This chap knows what he's doing.
So your point is who cares if the BBC lies so long as you agree with them? You dick.
...how long until someone works out that PJ works for IBM?
Yeah, because there is nothing cooler than hearing a two year old kid say "Fuck".

I thought we were supposed like Chavez because he is anti-American but now he is anti-You Tube and I just don't know what to do!!!

Exactly. Environmentalism isn't a religion. It's a moral panic.

Although strictly speaking, this isn't globalisation, but a restriction of it.
..picturing the leader of the Mathletes in Mean Girls?
Can we have the same info on the people that published the report?
I agree. Works very easily and smoothly. Once you set up the templates, it's pretty much idiot proof.

Shouldn't that be "Oil for Palaces"?
This sounds a bit like htmlarea, which is open source, and has a gecko version too. Does SPAW offer anything over this? Just interested! Thanks.
You have the most appropriate user name I have ever seen.
Walla walla - eh? Tell me more, tell me more.
Etc etc
They all have several heads in front of the screen. While I get sued?

I wonder what happened to the dev that was responsible for that $12.5 cock-up...
