The "Proof" to correct an error like this always takes more information than was used to screw it up in the first place. I work for the federal government and use a Voyager credit card to purchase gasoline and vehicle services. I bought 3 quarts of ATF and the clerk at the station rang it up as a food sale, but for the correct amount. Both myself and my supervisor had to fill out and sign paperwork stating that the statement was in error and that ATF was purchased, not food. A wasted 15 minutes for both of us because a clerk hit the wrong key. Way to go.
This whole mess can be blamed on our IDIOT president. We had a project in progress, the ISS, and now we have to change our priorities to satisfy W's ego. Yes it's going to waste a ton of money. Yes it's going to piss off all the people that spent years developing the AMS detector. But obviously Bush doesn't care. Can't wait till he's gone.
If the colleges won't help the RIAA with their "Investigations" could this be the beginning of the end of the RIAA going after college students? Let's hope so. They already gave up on Harvard, too many students and professors that actually understand the law.
For a while the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles department that does recreational vehicles like boats and atv's wouldn't take cash, just checks, money orders and credit cards. Finally they caved in to customers demands.
Unlike the Post Office. They are installing a thing called an Automated Postal Center in the bigger offices. This allows you to buy postage and mail letters and small packages. But... they don't take cash, just plastic. And to make it even less convenient they are removing the stamp vending machines that take bills and coins. Their motive is purely profit, not customer service.
When Sarkozy is done with France do you think he could come over here for a few years? I like his ideas on immigrants, it would be nice if our "President" had the balls!
Could it be possible that somebody has come out of their hole and realized that they were wrong on this whole DMCA mess?? Now, how long will it be before the RIAA comes around and changes their attitude on downloading music?
Does this mean that Australia doesn't show Saturday Night Live? Southpark? Reno 911? The first time I watched Reno 911, I thought, for about 30 seconds, it was a show like Cops. On second thought, I just read on/. about how far behind they are in showing current American TV shows, so maybe they just haven't had enough exposure to good parodies to realize what they're missing. Wake up Australia!
Just wait, this was a black & white camera. The actual color is a rusty red. When the stereo camera on the rover is activated we'll have some great pictures, in color !! I can hardly wait.
