Being that wireless companies give away expensive phones to entice subscribers, imagine if Apple were to make a phone/ipod in the 5-10 gig storage range, and give it away free to new subscribers. I suspect people would flock to the device and service (Apple folks for sure at the least,) and thus not only gaining wireless customers, but iTunes customers as well, who can actually store a significant amount of songs. I don't see how that wouldn't be ridiculously profitable.
Is the groundbreaking gorilla of stolen vehicle recovery committing Peter Lynch's cardinal sin of deworsification into the unrelated field of hard-drive hacking?
...could this perhaps use a little dewordification?
Perhaps you missed that the individual who submitted the article to slashdot is the author of the review, and owner of the site it is on? If your time is so valuable, why did you bother with the "I somehow believe you think all reviewers are paid endorsers, and I'll be a smart guy by correcting you" post? Grow up, and please worry about your "bandwith" elsewhere.
What doesn't add up to me is that employers have the opportunity to appeal the individual's application for unemployment. For example, if someone is fired for using drugs on the worksite, they are typically not eligible for unemployment benefits. When they apply for benefits, the employer is notified and has the opportunity to appeal so their benefit account will not be charged. Granted, a check or 2 might be paid before that process begins, but I fail to see how this goes on for anything close to 26 weeks. I'm sure the fraud takes place, but I think this article is exaggerating the problem.
I have that board.. HORRIBLE PROBLEMS! It loses the bios settings about once per week, and at about the same frequency requires that I clear the CMOS by opening the case and playing with the jumper to even boot. Even when putting the system together, the power connector had to be cut in half to remove the blank space in the middle for their non-standard design. I will never, ever get an ECS board again.
With the money involved, they will find a way. Basically, a cottage industry exists that is devoted to figuring out how to manipulate search engine results.
Based on the review, it sounds like this covers topics so basic; one would be better served by a resource such as w3schools, or something along those lines. I recommend the Zen of CSS Design, which I found to be a great read for those who have gotten the basics down.
This is a fun little game, but why use Mario when the same thing could have been done without the blaitant infringement? Is the short-lived coverage really worth it?
Other PC Operating Systems can run too, such as Windows and Tiger (Max OS X 10.4), if the publishers want [them] to do so.
That happening seems so far-fetched to me that its very mention undermines the believability of anything else said in the article. That said, it is good to hear Sony will continue to support linux on PlayStation.
IMHO, the episodes he wrote are great, and I think this movie has a chance if they bring back some writers from earlier in the show's history. If not, I fail to see how the current team can produce both the show and a movie, when most would agree the current state of the show doesn't even justify this movie being made in the first place (from an artistic standpoint as opposed to financial.)
Increased key weight = more comfort???
on
Blank Keyboard
·
· Score: 1
Most keyboards use a standard 55 grams of force required to register every key.... The keys are divided into groups and their feedback springs are weighted differently; from 35 grams to 80 grams, which correspond to the strength of the finger that touches the keys. The result is more comfort for your hands.
How is this more comfortable being that some keys require more force to press?
When thumbsticks appeared on console pads, they were in addition to the accepted d-pad, and were similar enough to the already accepted joystick to be reasonable. The trackball holds limited appeal to the population at large considering most use a mouse, and thus to include one in addition to a d-pad and a thumbstick would be unwieldy and unlikely to be accepted en-masse, imho. Interesting idea though, and I don't see why an aftermarket controller that replaced the thumbstick with a trackball couldn't be successful.
I'm forced at work, and now use the Maxthon browser which is based on IE, but has features like tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, RSS and more. It's free, btw.
Really makes the switch from browsing at home to work alot smoother, even if it isn't a perfect solution. What it really makes me think though - if these guys can get tabbed browsing and whatnot into the current IE, why is MS not doing the same thing to slow lost market share to more usable/secure browsers???
According to the NYTimes, "The heat generated by all that power will be drawn off by a water-based cooling system, something usually seen only in high-end PC's."
This 360 thing sure reminds me of the dreamcast's moment in the sun, and subsequent demise at the hands of the PS2. That being said, I can't imagine Sony would jump the gun with PS3 being that they already had tremendous success without allowing another company to dictate when their console was released.

The RIAA is sure to notice any company that gives away 10,500 songs...

Wow.. Thanks! :0]
I know man.. Thus the humor in the original comment. The gentleman who replied really didn't seem to get the joke, thus the redundant explanation.

...at least its honest and to the point!
"With any luck your 2007 Toyota Camry and your Mitsubishi food processor will be exchanging recipes in the not too distant future."
I'd prefer my car stick to driving, thank you.

You're welcome

That's one way to get things done with a shoestring budget...
Download smaller porn videos and it won't take so long to copy from the temp directory... ;0]

Sounds crazy to me, but there it is...
I completely agree.
