so if they are only catching one in ten then the initial rate that they see is 10%

So if they rate they see afterwards is also 10% then that says to me nothing is changeing. They are still doing what they did at the same rates and being caught at the same rates.

Well this is ignoring other factors.

When you look at it you will see MS enters markets that already exist. They pick and choose and go in when things are getting popular

The thing this article misses is that also when things get popular open source people come in too and write their own versions for free. And they do it better than propriterary software usually.

Which is the real thing that drives prices down.

High margins and high profits only exist in really tiny niche markets that dont have many competitors.

Microsoft is just entering markets that also other competitors such as open source teams are entering and thus it is not just microsoft who is making prices lower. Somebody has not thought this through properly.

if all you ever read about internet is worms viruses child molestors riaa raids, warez, mpaa raids, stalkers and everything then all of a sudden the internet in public consciousness becomes a bad thing. it becomes too easy to blame, and it becomes a scapegoat for the real people who are too weak to admit responsibility for their crimes!!!

There are bad things with everything. Like for a long long time rock and roll music was linked with drugs and hsex and rape and satanism and blames for all kind of bad things with society and is used just as a scapegoat. without looking at what might be wrong with society or the individuals invoved.

on its own this is just one look at a study but it is part of a campaign by the left to create a demon in The Internet so that when people who are TRUE CRIMINALS are caught doing things they are RESPONSIBLE FOR as an act THEY ALONE HAVE PERPETRATED then they can deflect blame and just make it so they can easily say "this person is really innocent!" when they fucked some little kiddie up the ass.

Both are attempting jumping from one task to another, the first for a pupose say doing your job. The second doesnt have a purpose or a structure so it has no more purpose than doing it itself.

It is almost as if you are addicted to performing a task (browsing the internet) and the performing of the task becomes the goal, instead of working towards, something at the end.

If there are some formats that don't play then that's allright as the support will come when they are popular enough and anyway there are allready more open source players than for any other device. for ex linux can do hundreds of formats but most mp3 players can do only say 4 or 5.
